The Tomato Patch Workshop's production of Disney's 'Frozen JR.' hits the Kelsey stage at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Feb. 28 through March 1. Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

The 2020 playwrights include Miranda Rose Hall, Blake McCarty (Book and story),  Trevor Bachman (music and lyrics), and Jessica Kubzansky. Free public readings of all three plays will take place Feb. 22 and 23, 2020 at Cygnet Theatre.

Included are two works by Baltimore playwrights-R. Eric Thomas and Miranda Rose Hall-and a powerful piece by award-winning playwright Rajiv Joseph

Modern American drama was born in Provincetown when the Provincetown Players were founded in July, 1915. They are credited with changing American theater forever by birthing the careers of famous playwrights such as Eugene O'Neill and Susan Glaspell, who would eventually relocate to Greenwich Village to found the historic and famous Provincetown Playhouse. These revolutionary artists set the stage for Provincetown to become a hub for talented and innovative theatrical minds. Ever since, Provincetown has been an incubator for brilliant theatrical characters, many of whom would go on to become well-known on an international stage.

Diversionary has announced its 2019-2020 line up. It is Executive Artistic Director Matt M. Morrow's fifth full season of programming. He has this to say about the season: 

The Playwrights Realm announces its 2019-2020 season productions, with world premieres of Anna Moench's Mothers (beginning September 13, 2019 at the Duke on 42nd Street, 229 W 42nd St), and Noah Diaz's Richard & Jane & Dick & Sally (beginning April 3, 2020 at A.R.T./New York Theatres, 502 W 53rd St), two bold new works from early-career playwrights about parental care-and what that means in circumstances that have catapulted beyond anyone's control.Inconjunction with Mothers, the Playwrights Realm proudly pilots the Radical Parent-Inclusion Project, which seeks to dismantle the barriers preventing parent-artists from succeeding in the theater by illuminating, creating, and tracking new pathways of access and approaches to production.

Two alumnae of the Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) are working together once again in New York City on the world premiere of LubDub Theatre Company's A Play for the Living in a Time of Extinction. The new play by Miranda Rose Hall (currently in-development) is a new solo theatre and music performance starring Malouf that grapples with being a human in a time of mass extinction. This project is being developed through an ongoing two-year residency with the Orchard Project's NYC Greenhouse. Both Malouf and Cassidy trained at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts in acting, singing, and dancing, toured with Electric Youth, and performed with the Franklin Performing Arts Company.

This poetic new play with music follows Ed, a gay Jesuit priest who leaves the Catholic church to reconcile with his estranged brother in an isolated and icy township in Alaska. As Ed confronts his tragic past and tenuous future, he unexpectedly finds love beneath the starry Alaskan sky, and support from an unlikely ally. Introducing an auspicious new voice in American theatre, The Hour of Great Mercy by Miranda Rose Hall, is a tender, insightful and compassionate story about our collective relationship to illness, family, and redemption.

Over the past twelve years, The Playwrights Realm, led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira, has continually produced work by brave new voices and expanded its commitment to providing holistic support to playwrights striving to make a life in the arts. With the second installment of its newest annual program, Scratchpad Series, The Playwrights Realm is proud to grant career-propelling developmental workshops to three promisingly talented, diverse and dedicated playwrights: Darren Canady, Keiko Green, and Jordan Ramirez Puckett.

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has announced a special event - THROW ME ON THE BURNPILE AND LIGHT ME UP, an 80-minute solo show written and performed by Lucy Alibar and directed by Neel Keller.  BURNPILE will have 3 performances only - Thursday, December 6; Friday, December 7; and Saturday, December 8 - all at 7pm at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Lincoln Center Theater has announced full casting for its upcoming production of THE HARD PROBLEM, a new play by Tom Stoppard, to be directed by Jack O'Brien.

The Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 production of PLOT POINTS IN OUR SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT opened Monday night, October 22nd at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street). PLOT POINTS IN OUR SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT, a new play by Miranda Rose Hall, directed by Margot Bordelon, is set to run through Sunday, November 18.

This winter, Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 will produce the world premiere of MARYS SEACOLE, a new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 has announced that it will host a number of special events in conjunction with its production of PLOT POINTS IN OUR SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT, a new play by Miranda Rose Hall, directed by Margot Bordelon, currently in previews at the Claire Tow Theater.   The events, each curated with Ianne Fields Stewart and hosted at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street), will include 3 LGBTQ+ Singles Nights on Sunday, October 28th; Sunday, November 4th; and Sunday, November 11th; and 3 Post-Show Conversations on Thursday, November 1st; Thursday, November 8th; and Monday, November 12th. All events held post-show are free to ticket-holders for that evening's performance.

The Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 production of PLOT POINTS IN OUR SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT began rehearsals this Tuesday, September 11. PLOT POINTS IN OUR SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT, by the emerging new playwright Miranda Rose Hall, to be directed by Margot Bordelon, will begin performances Saturday, October 6, open on Monday, October 22, and run through Sunday, November 18 at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).
