Katsalas Theatre Company Presents World Premiere of INFLUENCE, 3/6-4/4

The Katselas Theatre Company will be presenting the world premiere of Shem Bitterman's Influence. Directed by Steve Zuckerman, the dark comedy opens Saturday, March 6 at 8PM at the Skylight Theatre- previews begin February 26. Ticket are $25 for general admission and $15 for students. A Noise Within Presents AWAKE AND SING! 3/20 - 5/23

A Noise Within (ANW) presents AWAKE AND SING!, an American classic by Clifford Odet, opening Saturday, March 20 and closing Sunday, May 23, 2010 (previews begin Saturday, March 13), directed by Andrew J. Traister. Featuring veteran actor Len Lesser (Jacob), who is well known to contemporary audiences at Seinfeld's 'Uncle Leo' and highly regarded ANW Resident Artists Deborah Strang (Bessie Berger) and Joel Swetow (Myron Berger), the play also features Alan Blumenfeld (Uncle Morty), Molly Leland (Hennie Berger), David Lengel (Sam Feinschreiber), Daniel Reichert (Moe Axelrod), Adam Silver (Ralph Berger) and Alan Waserman (Schlosser).

Laurie Metcalf, Kirk Douglas et al. Honored with L.A. Drama Critics Circle Nominations

The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle has announced its nominations and special awards for excellence in Los Angeles and Orange County theatre for the year 2009. The 41st Annual Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, March 22 at the Colony Theatre, thanks to the generous donation of the Colony's management. The theatre is located at 555 N. Third Street, in Burbank.

Hudson Mainstage Theatre Announces Open-Ended Run Of DIVORCE! THE MUSICAL

Rick Culbertson, in association with Lynn Marks and Paradox Entertainment, today announced that Divorce! The Musical will have an open-ended run at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre (6539 Santa Monica Blvd.). The world premiere production, now in its fourth smash month, features music, lyrics and book by 2008 Frederick Loewe Award-winner Erin Kamler (Runway 69 at New Dramatists). Multi award-winning director Rick Sparks (They Shoot Horses, Don?t They?) directs and musical stage this comedy about one couple?s hellish journey to un-tie the knot. Divorce! The Musical also features musical direction and arrangements by Ovation Award-winner David O (Ubu Roi and Jason Robert Brown?s 13).
