Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Announces 2017-2018 Season

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park announced today an exciting season of extravagant stage adaptations, powerhouse productions and world premieres, beginning with an adaptation of the Oscar-winning film SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE opening Sept. 2.

Justin Fletcher Extends Run in THE RAILWAY CHILDREN at King's Cross

BAFTA award-winning presenter, actor and voice-over artist, Justin Fletcher, who joined the cast of the Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children - Live on Stage on 31 August, has now confirmed he will be playing an extra two weeks, now finishing on 19 November.

BAFTA award-winning presenter, actor and voice-over artist, Justin Fletcher will transform from the much-loved children's character Mr Tumble into the equally loved Mr Perks for two months only, from 31 August to 30 October 2016. The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children - Live on Stage must end on 8 January 2017, following more than two glorious years at King's Cross Theatre, where it opened to critical and public acclaim on 14 January 2015, following previews from 16 December 2014.

Marin Theatre Company Sets 2016-17 Family Series

This fall, Marin Theatre Company unleashes their 2016-17 Family Series season with tales of growing up, friendship, and self discovery. Kicking off its second Family Series Season of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) plays is writer and performer Jim Napolitano with his original shadow puppet story, Father Goose's Tales. Next up are three fully self-produced TYA productions: an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's engrossing The Jungle Book by Greg Banks, Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, The Snow Queen, adapted by Mike Kenny, and Brendan Murray's endearing rendition of Hare and Tortoise.

THE RAILWAY CHILDREN to Offer Relaxed Performance

?At 2.30pm on Wednesday 22 June, there will be a 'relaxed performance' of the Olivier Award-winning The Railway Children - Live on Stage at London's King's Cross Theatre. Relaxed performances are designed to benefit those with autism, sensory and communication disorders or a learning disability. 

THE RAILWAY CHILDREN Announces Extension, Thru Jan. 8

Due to popular demand, the Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children - Live on Stage will be extending its run at King's Cross Theatre until 8 January 2017, with tickets for the new booking period going on sale on Wednesday 20 April. To celebrate the extension, the producers are offering 5,000 seats at £10 for select performances, available in person at the Box Office or via the website.

Martin Barrass and Suzy Cooper to Star in THE RAILWAY CHILDREN - LIVE ON STAGE, April 27

From 27 April, Martin Barrass will return to the role of Mr Perks and Suzy Cooper has joined the cast as Mother in the Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children - Live on Stage. Also joining the cast are Shaun McCourt as Jim and Adam Collier, Alan Drake and Julie Gilby.

Marin Theatre Company's THE LITTLE MERMAID Opens Tomorrow

?This spring, Marin Theatre Company will round out its first ever fully self-produced Family Series season of Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) plays with an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, The Little Mermaid. In this version adapted by Mike Kenny, characters dubbed "Flotsam" and "Jetsam" act as simple but mystical bits of ocean rubbage who happen to be very imaginative storytellers. The pair act on a minimal set using props from a treasure trunk to take on the forms of the characters in their story, including The Little Mermaid herself, the mermaid's sisters, a handsome prince, and the infamous Sea Witch. Children will love this reinterpretation of the classic story for its creativity, humor, and excitement.
