In response to overwhelming public demand and positive critical reception, Southern Rep is extending the run for its current production, Tennessee Williams' THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA at The Art Klub on 527 Elysian Fields Avenue, through April 13, 2014. Originally slated to close April 6, the extension will add an additional four performances to THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA's schedule. The show times for the new performances are Thursday - Saturday at 7:30 pm, and a Sunday Matinee at 2:00 pm.

Written by Moises Kaufman, the 5-time Tony Award Nominated 33 VARIATIONS is the story about a modern-day music scholar driven to solve one of classical music's enduring riddles - the mystery behind Beethoven's Diabelli Variations - even as her own health and relationships crumble. A story about familial love, romantic desire, and artistic obsession, this extraordinary play examines what it means to lose the things that define us, and what we end up gaining in their stead.

Southern Rep continues its 'New Plays New Orleans' mission with 3X3: THE ONE ACTS by Kerry Cahill, Michael Santos, and Jon Broder, continues a year-long cycle presenting works by eleven senior members of 6X6 Play Slam. The 6X6 Play Slam, now in its third year, is a group of local playwrights who write 10-minute plays which are presented six times a year by Southern Rep Theatre. 3X3: THE ONE ACTS runs tonight, January 14th and the 15th, 2013, at 7:30pm, at Mid-City Theatre, 3540 Toulouse Street, New Orleans, LA.
