The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF) has announced the cast for its upcoming production Suspense! Halloween Radio, Lucille Fletcher's spine-tingling radio dramas The Hitchhiker and Sorry, Wrong Number. HVSF veteran Ryan Quinn returns, straight from the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Whorl Inside a Loop.
After wrapping up a critically acclaimed summer season under its outdoor theater tent, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival is heading indoors. Under the direction of Mike Donahue (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Annie Baker's adaptation of Uncle Vanya), HVSF actors and Foley artists will transport audiences back to the classic age of radio drama in the intimate setting of the Boscobel Mansion to present Suspense! Halloween Radio, two spine-tingling radio dramas The Hitchhiker and Sorry, Wrong Number by Lucille Fletcher. Performances are October 28-31 and November 4-8. All performances begin at 7pm. A special reception will follow the performances on October 28 and October 31. Tickets for those performances are $70. Tickets for all other performances are $50. MCC THEATER announced today the extension-by popular demand-of its hit comedy, Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride, now playing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). The play, which officially opened on September 9th, will now play through October 11th. It was previously scheduled through October 4th. MCC THEATER has announced the 2015 PlayLabs reading series, which will feature new works in development by playwrights MCC Playwright in Residence Neil LaBute, MCC Theater Youth Company alum Ren Dara Santiago, and rising playwright Stephen Brown. Readings will be held on September 21st, September 28th, and October 5th, as shown below, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street). All readings are at 7pm.
