Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Announces Holiday Show

By:

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF) has announced the cast for its upcoming production Suspense! Halloween Radio, Lucille Fletcher's spine-tingling radio dramas The Hitchhiker and Sorry, Wrong Number. HVSF veteran Ryan Quinn returns, straight from the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Whorl Inside a Loop. Also returning to HVSF is Kelley Curran who appeared in last season's production of The Turn of the Screw. The cast is rounded out by Moses Villarama who appeared at the Ensemble Studio Theater in Fast Company. Under the direction of Mike Donahue (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Annie Baker's adaptation of Uncle Vanya), the actors, supported by a Foley artist who will create live sound effects, will transport audiences back to the classic age of radio drama in the intimate setting of the Boscobel Mansion. Performances are October 28-31 and November 4-8. All performances begin at 7pm. A special reception will follow the performances on October 28 and October 31. Tickets for those performances are $70. Tickets for all other performances are $50. Seniors, members of the military, and students receive applicable discounts. Boscobel House and Gardens is located at 1601 Route 9D in Garrison.

HVSF has also announced its holiday production, Northern Lights, Winter Tales by Hans Christian Andersen, a new play by Mona Z. Smith. Northern Lights will be performed at the Howland Center in Beacon, December 8-11. All performances are at 7pm. Tickets are $50 with applicable discounts for seniors, members of the military, students and children.

Northern Lights, Winter Tales by Hans Christian Andersen will also be performed at St. Mary-in-the-Highlands in Cold Spring December 12 at 7pm, and December 13 at 2:30PM. Tickets are $30-$50 with applicable discounts for seniors, members of the military, students and children.
