The Kennedy Center production of Barrio Grrrl! begins a national tour on Saturday, January 22, 2011 as part of the Center's 18th Theater for Young Audiences on Tour series for young people and their families. A host of Broadway artists will join the evening to support the innovative theatre company and school, The Artist's Crossing. ALL THINGS EQUAL is a provocative evening of song and spoken word that will explore the struggle of human beings to achieve equality on every front in our community, our country and the world. It will be presented at 7 pm on Monday, May 3rd 2010 at the Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street, New York, NY 10012.

Curtain Call's popular Musical Mondays series finishes its ninth season of presenting new musical theater works in concert on Monday, April 19, 7:30 pm with 'Take Me, America.' 'Take Me, America' was written by composer Bob Christianson and book writer / lyricist Bill Nabel. Nabel is best known for logging more than 9,000 performances as Broadway actor in such long-running shows as 'A Chorus Line,' 'Beauty and the Beast,' 'Evita,' '42nd Street' and 'Sweeney Todd. Christianson has composed for film and television, conducted Broadway musicals and recorded with Diana Ross, Judy Collins and Aretha Franklin, among many other artists.

The 92nd Street Y announces casting for the 2009 season of Lyrics & Lyricists, the Y's legendary American Songbook series. Polly Bergen, Lucie Arnaz, Tom Wopat and Marilyn Maye are among the storied cast members who will sing the songs of Richard Rodgers, Ira Gershwin, Mel Torm?, DeSylva, Brown & Henderson, David Zippel and others. This is the first season curated by new series artistic director DEBORAH GRACE WINER, and her inaugural line-up of guest artistic directors - MARTIN CHARNIN, DAVID ZIPPEL, ROBERT KIMBALL, REX REED, and BILLY STRITCH.

Double Play Connections and Meredith Lucio will present the world premiere production of a new musical, Take Me America, directed by Gregg Wiggans, with musical direction by Nate Patton, about asylum in America, inspired by the P.O.V. documentary Well-Founded Fear.
George S. Irving, who received a Tony nomination for creating the role of Sir John Tremayne in Me and My Girl, will reprise his role as the comical nobleman in the upcoming Musicals Tonight concert staging of the show, which will take place at the McGinn/Cazale Theater from October 24th through November 5th
