Milwaukee Chamber Theatre Presents Midwest Premiere of OCTOBER, BEFORE I WAS BORN, 2/19-3/9

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) presents the Midwest premiere of OCTOBER, BEFORE I WAS BORN by Wisconsin playwright Lori Matthews, February 19 - March 9, 2014. After presenting a staged reading of the piece in 2011, MCT brings this new play, which was inspired by true events, to its mainstage. OCTOBER, BEFORE I WAS BORN performs in the Broadway TheatreCenter's Studio Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

Molotov to Present NORMAL, 3/6-30

Following the critical success of 'Extremities' this past October, the horror and suspense theatre company Molotov Theatre Group is bringing 'Normal' by Anthony Neilson to the DC stage in March. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, March 6-March 30 at 7:30 PM at the DC Arts Center, 2438 18th St, NW, Washington, DC 20009. Tickets are $25 ($40 for a reduced price pass for the remainder of the Molotov season), and are available through the Molotov web site (www.molotovtheatre.org ). Press night is Saturday, March 8.

TNT's MAJOR CRIMES Wraps Season with 5.4 Viewers in Live + Same Day

TNT's hit original series Major Crimes closed out its second season Monday night with 5.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery, a +10% increase over the prior week. The drama, which has ranked as basic cable's #1 original series for four consecutive weeks, beat its Monday competition to rank as the top cable program of the night. Among TNT's targeted demos, the season finale of Major Crimes scored 1.4 million adults 25-54 in Live + Same Day (+6% vs. the prior week) and 1.1 million adults 18-49 (+4%).

TNT Orders MURDER IN THE FIRST to Series; Taye Diggs, Tom Felton to Star

TNT has greenlit Murder in the First, a new scripted drama from Emmy(R)-winner Steven Bochco and starring Taye Diggs (Private Practice) and Kathleen Robertson (Boss). Co-created by Bochco and Eric Lodal (The Locrian Mode), Murder in the First also stars Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Mimi Kirkland (Safe Haven), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-0), Bess Rous (What Just Happened) and Steven Weber (Dallas, Wings).

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre's THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE Opens Tomorrow

Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) continues its 2013-2014 theatre season with the Milwaukee premiere of THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE by Keith Huff, September 18 - October 13, 2013. In addition to numerous plays, Keith Huff has written for the television series "House of Cards" and "Mad Men." This one-woman show features Milwaukee favorite Mary MacDonald Kerr who was last seen at MCT in THE SWEETEST SWING IN BASEBALL. The show is also a production collaboration with the UW-Milwaukee Theatre Department. UWM professor Jim Tasse will direct and the production team members are UWM faculty and students. THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE performs in the Broadway Theatre Center's Studio Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

Theater for the New City Presents U.S. Premiere of PLAYING SINATRA, Now thru 10/6

In 'Playing Sinatra' by Bernard Kops, grown up siblings in Streatham, London, resist their lonely future by idolizing ol' Blue Eyes. Norman can't leave their family nest; his sister, Sandra, knows she must try. Her new friend, Philip, is drawn into their trap to escape his painful past. Theater for the New City will present the play's American premiere tonight, September 12 to October 6, performed by Austin Pendleton, Katharine Cullison and Richard McElvain. Kelly Morgan directs.

TBS Renews SULLIVAN & SON, DEAL WITH IT & MEN AT WORK

TBS has ordered third seasons of its hit original sitcoms Sullivan & Son, starring popular comedian Steve Byrne, and Men at Work, starring Danny Masterson, Michael Cassidy, Adam Busch, Meredith Hagner and James Lesure. TBS has also ordered a second season of the hit series Deal With It, from Howie Mandel's Alevy Productions.

TNT Renews RIZZOLI & ISLES, MAJOR CRIMES & PERCEPTION

TNT has renewed three of its hit summer series, including the top-ranked Rizzoli & Isles and the Top 10 dramas Major Crimes and Perception. The renewals join the previously announced fourth-season order of TNT's epic drama Falling Skies, one of the summer's most popular dramas with key demos.
