Industry veteran Jim Malito has been named to the newly created position of VP/Promotion for the Reviver Entertainment Group. Jim will be working with both the Reviver and 1608 promotion staffs while reporting to Reviver's SVP Bob Reeves. 

Mohegan Sun is rolling out the best in entertainment for all types of fans and concertgoers! From live music, to comedy, the CT Sun and boxing, there is no other place to experience the variety of entertainment Mohegan Sun will bring this summer. In late June, the Barenaked Ladies kick off the summer with a spectacle you won't want to miss. A record of more than 290 shows and sporting events will follow this performance, for a full 10 weeksuntil September 3rd.

The Country Music Association reveals the initial artist lineup for this year's CMA Fest, featuring an exceptional bill of hundreds of artists performing on 11 stages throughout downtown Nashville Thursday through Sunday, June 7-10. 

Taking the nightly NISSAN STADIUM stage this year are Country Music superstars Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Charles Esten and Friends, Florida Georgia Line, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Charley Pride, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Ricky Skaggs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Lee Ann Womack, and Brett Young. Several acts join this year's Nissan Stadium lineup for the first time with full sets and special performances including Brown, Combs, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, Pardi, Pearce and Young. In addition, Lauren Alaina and Bebe Rexha will make guest appearances. Stadium gates open daily at 6:00 PM with performances starting at 8:00 PM. A limited number of four-day tickets for the nightly performances at Nissan Stadium are still available at CMAfest.com/tickets or through the CMA Box Office at 1-800-CMA-FEST.

Michael Tyler, an academician with the Prince George's County Public School System of Maryland with an extensive educational background, has completed his new book 'Catharsis: The Unleashing of the Unconscious Conflicts of Michael Anthony': a gripping work that attempts to capture some of Tyler's thoughts and experiences during the early years of his life, while growing up in an environment full of racial and geopolitical fear.

CMT has revealed "17 for 2017" artists for its' year-long LISTEN UP campaign, which recognizes and supports country music's most promising new artists on their way to reaching superstar status.

The Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Chicago Public Library presented the 16th annual Carl Sandburg Literary Award to legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim. Universally heralded for his immense contributions to musical theater in a career spanning more than 50 years, Sondheim was at the Carl Sandburg Literary Awards Dinner tonight, October 21, 2015 at The Forum (725 W. Roosevelt Road) on the campus of the University of Illinois at Chicago. The event was attended by almost 700 and raised more than $1.5 million to support the initiatives of the Chicago Public Library. Scroll down for photos!

Haney, from the poetry of Sheryl St. Germain, and directed by Tracy Bersley (choreographer for On the Levee at Lincoln Center, LCT3). Theatre intersects with visual art and poetry in this haunting and galvanizing perspective of the Medusa myth. Kiss Me or Cut Off My Head will play a three week limited engagement at the Soho Photo Gallery (15 White Street, New York, NY 10013). Performances begin Thursday, August 20th and continue through Today, September 5th, 2015 . Opening Night is Thursday, August 20th at 7:30 pm. Sometimes the battle of the sexes is not enough. The Drilling Company reads turf wars and class consciousness into its production of 'The Taming of the Shrew,' to be presented today, September 4, through September 20 as part of Bryant Park Shakespeare, directed by Alessandro Colla.
