The Harold Clurman Lab Theater is proud to announce its next production, Road to Nirvana, by Arthur Kopit.  Kopit's hilarious and irreverent comedy asks how far people will go in pursuit of fame and fortune. The play runs fromSeptember 15 to October 15, 2016.  Managing Artistic Director Don K. Williams will direct. Williams recently directed the Harold Clurman Lab Theater's Ovation-nominated productions of Lebensraum and Long Way Go Down.

Director Marcus Kyd has assembled a solid roster of professional actors to give Michael Milligan's mythic drama, composed entirely in iambic pentameter, a grand staging.  On the Globe Theater's stage it was the actor's presence, the actor's gift of language that held the audience rapt with attention.  Kyd's cast understands this, and gives vivid life to every one of Milligan's lines. 

Fresh from Shakespeare's Globe and the Royal Shakespeare Company, renowned British director Jonathan Munby returns to Chicago to stage Shakespeare's most intimate tragedy. OTHELLO, featuring James Vincent Meredith in the title role, continues the Theater's Shakespeare 400 Chicago celebration, now through April 10, 2016. Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) presents Shakespeare's intimate tragedy of heartbreak and revenge, OTHELLO. Staged by UK award-winning director Jonathan Munby, the production features James Vincent Meredith in the title role as the Moor. Munby imagines Shakespeare's tale in the landscape of a modern-day military base amid the searing themes of revenge, prejudice and passion. Featured in the yearlong Shakespeare 400 Chicago celebration, OTHELLO is presented in CST's Courtyard Theater, tonight, February 18, through April 10, 2016.

Using a translation by Tony Kushner, the production will open tonight, January 28th, with performances running through February 20th.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces the full cast and creative team for Shakespeare's intimate tragedy of heartbreak and revenge, OTHELLO.

The Harold Clurman Lab Theater, the professional wing of the Art of Acting Studio Los Angeles, is proud to announce its next production, Talking to Terrorists, by Robin Soans.  The Ovation-nominated Harold Clurman Lab Theater will ask tough questions in this tour de force, directed by Managing Artistic Director Don K. Williams.

In partnership with the University of Utah School of Medicine's Division of Medical Ethics and Humanities, UtahPresents brings the powerful one-man play Mercy Killers to the Eccles Auditorium at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Mercy Killers, written and performed by Michael Milligan and directed by Tom Oppenheim, will be performed on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 PM, with a talkback following the performance. Tickets are $20, with a $5 ticket for U of U students and a $10 ticket for non-U students and youth 18 and under, and are available at 801-581-7100 or utahpresents.org.

'Over 60% of all bankruptcies in the U.S. are the result of medical debt. What most people don't realize is that the majority of those bankruptcies, the person involved actually had insurance at the onset of their health crises,' says Milligan. This discovery led him to collect stories from people suffering financial disaster on top of chronic illnesses.

Macbeth will open tonight, June 19th, 2015, and will star Emmy Winner Daniel Kucan in the title role. Macbeth will be directed by Ovation - nominated actor and designer, Michael Keith Allen.

The Harold Clurman Playwrights Division, a program of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, is now accepting new play submissions. In the eighth annual search for a resident playwright, the division is calling for new dramatic works written exclusively by playwrights of color. The division is also seeking ensemble plays for casts of seven to ten female roles or gender neutral roles; playwrights of all ethnicities are welcome to apply with an ensemble play.

Great Falls will be directed by Managing Artist Director of the Art of Acting Studio, Don K. Williams, and will open on January 22nd, 2015.
