Huntington to Screen MY SO-CALLED LIFE Pilot with Creator Winnie Holzman, 10/1

The Huntington Theatre Company presents a special free screening of the pilot episode of MY SO-CALLED LIFE in the Wimberly Theatre at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA on Thursday, October 1 at 7:30pm. The evening will include a post-screening discussion with MY SO-CALLED LIFE creator and CHOICE playwright Winnie Holzman and WBUR's Robin Young, co-host of the nationally-broadcast HERE AND NOW.

Cast of Huntington's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC Performs National Anthem at Red Sox/Orioles Game Tonight

The entire cast of the Huntington Theatre Company's production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC will perform the National Anthem tonight, September 25, 2015, at Fenway Park before the televised Red Sox versus Orioles game at 7:10pm. Old Town Trolley will transport the cast from Fenway Park to the BU Theatre immediately following the Anthem for the evening's 8pm performance.

The entire cast of the Huntington Theatre Company's production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC will perform the National Anthem on Friday, September 25, 2015, at Fenway Park before the televised Red Sox versus Orioles game at 7:10pm. Single Tickets Go on Sale Tomorrow for Huntington's 2015-16 Season

Single tickets to the Huntington Theatre Company's 2015-2016 Season will go on sale to the general public at midnight on Tuesday, August 4. Single tickets to A Little Night Music and A Confederacy of Dunces are on sale now. The upcoming season features four world premieres, Stephen Sondheim's most popular musical, a Pulitzer Prize winner, and August Wilson's powerful memoir, with performances by award-winning Boston favorites and international theatre artists.

AZTEC ECONOMY in association with THE TANK is pleased to announce the New York premiere of BUTCHER HOLLER HERE WE COME by Casey Wimpee, directed by Leah Bonvissuto. After premiering two years ago in the Cincinnati Fringe and performing in Baltimore, New Orleans, Dallas, Houston, Tampa, and West Palm Beach, BUTCHER HOLLER HERE WE COME will play a limited engagement at The Tank (151 W 46th St, 8th Fl, New York, NY 10036), and headline their second annual DarkFest, celebrating innovative performance that utilizes self-sufficient and alternative energy sources. Performances begin tonight, July 24 (Preview performance) and continue through Sunday, August 2, 2015. Opening Night is Saturday, July 25 (7 p.m.).

Huntington's Managing Director Michael Maso Named HSTF Inspiring Leader of the Year

Huntington Theatre Company Managing Director Michael Maso will receive the 2014 Hyde Square Task Force Inspiring Leader Award, to be presented on Wednesday, November 5 at the organization's Annual Making Change Happen Breakfast. The award is presented annually to an experienced and successful leader in the community who embodies the values of Hyde Square Task Force. Hyde Square Task Force (HSTF) has been working for more than two decades to develop the skills of youth and their families so they are empowered to enhance their own lives and build a strong and vibrant urban community.

Two hundred and fifty guests including former Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino joined Huntington Theatre Company Chairman Carol G. Deane, President Mitchell J. Roberts, Managing Director Michael Maso, and Artistic Director Peter DuBois, as well as Boston Center for the Arts Chairman Philip W. Lovejoy and Executive Director Veronique Le Melle on Monday, September 29 for a ribbon-cutting, rededication, and celebration in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. Joseph Haj Receives SDC Foundation's Zelda Fichandler Award

Joseph Haj, Producing Artistic Director of PlayMakers Repertory Company in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, is the 2014 recipient of The Zelda Fichandler Award, an award to recognize an outstanding director or choreographer who is transforming the regional arts landscape through imaginative, brave work in theatre. The $5,000 award, given by Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, heralds both accomplishment to date and promise for the future, and lauds deep commitment to a community.

The Skivvies Join Calderwood Pavilion 10th Anniversary Celebration Lineup

The Skivvies, the 'hot musical duo specializing in unexpected arrangements, incongruous mashups, and, of course, highly toned displays of skin' (The New York Times), will entertain the Huntington Theatre Company's invited guests on Monday, September 29 at the rededication of the Stanford Calderwood Pavilion at the Boston Center for the Arts. They replace the previously announced Lea DeLaria who had to withdraw unexpectedly due to a scheduling conflict.
