The BWW Cabaret Awards honor exemplary performers and productions in New York from October 1st, 2019 to September 30th, 2020. Nominees in all categories excluding Special Event - Solo and Special Event - Multiple needed to have performed all or the majority of their shows (at least two of three shows) during this eligibility period.
The Broadway World Awards for Cabaret have new categories this year to acknowledge artists who shard their whole shows online. These are the shows nominated by fans for their work and their generosity.

The American Songbook Association just presented its first Annual Gala, The Joint Is Jumpin'!, a joyous celebration of contributions to the American Songbook by Black songwriters and notable singers. The ASA also presented its first annual Lifetime Achievement Award to singer Marilyn Maye, presented by her longtime friend, fashion designer, Bob Mackie.
Singer Lynn Henderson returns to Don't Tell Mama this spring with A Skitch in Time: My Friendship with Maestro Skitch Henderson, a tribute to the New York Pops founder who built the Pops from an idea to a beloved international institution. The two Hendersons, who are not related, met and bonded over music at a benefit dinner in Connecticut, where they both lived at the time. Skitch assisted Lynn, who was Chairnan of Deck The Halls benefits for New Milford Hospital, by bringing his New York Pops All Stars to Connecticut. He mentored Lynn as she created a show about his friend, Cole Porter, for a local club with a cast ranging in age from five to eighty five. Later, Lynn and her musicians brought her cabaret shows to Hunt Hill Farm - the cooking school, store and gallery which were the Connecticut home of Skitch and his smart, dazzling wife, Ruth. A Skitch in Time: My Friendship with Maestro Skitch Henderson is directed by Klea Blackhurst, with Musical Direction by Douglas J. Cohen. Bob Sabin will play bass.
By popular demand, Kim Maresca returned to Feinstein's/54 Below on her birthday last Wednesday evening, September 21st, with her dazzling new show IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL BELT IF I WANT TO! One of the highlights of the sold-out event was a special surprise appearance by Broadway legend Betty Buckley, who joined Kim in a thrilling duet of 'Corner of the Sky' from PIPPIN. 11-year-old Tori Murray, the young star of Off-Broadway's musical smash RUTHLESS!, performed at the fifth annual 'Night of Dreams' holiday gala in Bryant Park on November 30th presented by the Broadway Dreams Foundation. Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. Tori wowed the assembled guests with a rousing rendition of 'You Raise Me Up,' along with Quentin Earl Darrington (RAGTIME) and Broadway Dreams student Isabella Gottfried.
