Williamson ('Nashville,' 'Homeland'), in Matthew Lopez's THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE, the first production of MCC's 2015-16 Main Stage Season. THE LEGEND OF GEORGIA MCBRIDE begins previews tonight, August 20, 2015 ahead of a September 9, 2015 opening night.
Shakespeare Theatre Company to Celebrate Free For All's 25th Anniversary This Fall

One of the capital's most beloved annual traditions, the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) Free For All, and one of William Shakespeare's most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night's Dream, are coming together for a major milestone: Free For All's 25th anniversary. Ethan McSweeny directs a revival of his 2012-2013 STC production, which will run September 1-13 at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).

Tony Award nominee Brandon Uranowitz, currently appearing in An American in Paris, joins the cast of the 2015 Will on the Hill event at the Shakespeare Theatre Company. The Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) will finish its 2014-2015 season with Moliere's Tartuffe. A co-production with South Coast Repertory and Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Tartuffe is directed and designed by Dominique Serrand, the co-founder and co-Artistic Director of The Moving Company, a company dedicated to creating new work and reimagining work from the past. Tartuffe will play at the Sidney Harman Hall (601 F Street) from tonight, June 2, 2015 - July 5, 2015.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company, recipient of the 2012 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is pleased to announce the return of Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience -- A Parody by Dan and Jeff, a 75-minute comedy production featuring all seven Harry Potter books, written and performed by two-time Olivier Award-nominated actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner. The production returns for a three-week engagement, tonight, May 30 - June 21, 2015, in the Company's Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW).
Margot Harley, Co-Founder of The Acting Company, to Retire

Margot Harley, who co-founded The Acting Company with John Houseman in 1972, will step down as its Producer effective the end of this year. The Acting Company began with the first graduating class of Juilliard's Drama Division, which included Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, David Schramm and David Ogden Stiers. "They were classically trained, superbly talented and had worked together for four years," stated Ms. Harley.
