The Actors Fund's annual gala last night, April 29, 2013 at the New York Marriott Marquis honored Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, the pay television company HBO and entrepreneur/film producer and Fund trustee Steve Kalafer. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's SNITCH to Hit Stores on 6/11

Dwayne Johnson stars in the action-packed thriller, Snitch arriving on Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital Copy and Ultraviolet), DVD (plus Digital Copy and Ultraviolet), Digital Download, Video on Demand and Pay-Per-View June 11 from Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE company.

Cinedigm Acquires Rights to Shaul Schwarz's Documentary NARCO CULTURA

Cinedigm has acquired North American distribution rights to Israeli photographer and filmmaker Shaul Schwarz's NARCO CULTURA, which world premiered last week at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in the Documentary Competition section. The film was produced by Parts & Labor's Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy and Ocean Size Pictures' Todd Hagopian; executive produced by Fred Warren and Robin Warren; and edited by Bryan Chang and Jay Arthur Sterrenberg. It will next screen at the 2013 Berlin International Film Festival in the Panorama section. Cinedigm plans a theatrical release and awards qualifying run for the film in 2013.

AIN'T THEM BODIES SAINTS, Starring Rooney Mara, Begins Production

Evolution Independent, Lagniappe and Paradox Entertainment announce today that principal photography has begun on the new dramatic thriller AIN'T THEM BODIES SAINTS, which was written and is being directed by David Lowery ("Pioneer") and stars Academy Award-nominees Rooney Mara ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") and Casey Affleck ("The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"), and multiple award-winner Ben Foster ("3:10 To Yuma"). The film tells the story of Bob Muldoon (Affleck) and Ruth Guthrie (Mara), two young outlaws who are brought down by the law in the hills of Texas.

In tonight's episode of NBC's COMMUNITY entitled, 'Documentary Filmmaking: Redux' - When the school board asks Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) to make a new commercial for the school, he enlists the study group to star in his production. As he gets swept away with the project, more of the student body is pulled into the fray, including Magnitude (Luke Youngblood), Fat Neil (Charley Koontz), Garrett (Erik Charles Nielsen), Leonard (Richard Erdman), Star-Burns (Dino Stamatopoulos) and even Greendale alum and genuine celebrity, Luis Guzman ('How to Make it in America'). Meanwhile, Abed (Danny Pudi) films all the activities for a documentary.

In tonight's episode of NBC's COMMUNITY titled, 'Advanced Gay', Pierce (Chevy Chase) learns that he and his Hawthorne wipes have become extremely popular and he decides to throw a big party... until his overbearing father, Cornelius Hawthorne (Larry Cedar, 'Deadwood,') shows up and puts the kibosh on the plans. Meanwhile, Troy (Donald Glover) finds himself being courted by Vice Dean Laybourne (John Goodman) and his secretive Air Conditioning Repair Annex, as well as Greendale's resident janitor, Jerry (Jerry Minor, 'Lucky Louie').
