Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage, written by Eleanor Bergstein, script writer and creator of the phenomenally successful film, features all the much-loved characters and original dialogue from the iconic film with exciting extra scenes added in. The first ever UK tour opened in Bristol in September 2011, and has since broken box office records across the country, making it one of the most successful tours in UK history. Beginning at 6:15pm today Birmingham Hippodrome will be streaming LIVE from behind the scenes of Dirty Dancing. At 6:15pm we will join the full company on stage as they complete the daily physical warm-up, then from 6.30-6.45pm we get an insight into the intense vocal warm-up before curtain up. This will be a unique and rarely seen opportunity to take a glimpse behind the red curtain and see the day to day workings of a major theatrical production.

The new company will have their first performance at Birmingham Hippodrome on Wednesday 4 July (American Independence Day) and will run until Saturday 25 August. Since the UK tour opened in Bristol on 1 September 2011, demand for tickets has been sensational, smashing box office records across the country and playing to packed houses.

The Pops Series performances take place at Raleigh's Meymandi Concert Hall on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14 at 8:00 p.m. A matinee performance follows on Sunday, April 15 at 3:00 p.m.

5th Avenue held its Spotlight Night for Damn Yankees on March 20. The evening took audiences behind the scenes of the new production of the musical comedy classic Damn Yankees. Featuring musical performances by some of Seattle's best singers and the cast of Damn Yankees, the event explored the stories that inspired the hit musical, including the legend of Faust. The night also took audiences through the careers of Damn Yankees book writer George Abbott and songwriters Richard Adler and Jerry Ross.
