InterAct Theatre Company and the New York based company, The One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) today announce their joint presentation of the First Philadelphia One-Minute Play Festival, to be performed on July 29th-31st 2013 at 8:00 PM EST. Following sold-out performances in a dozen other cities, this festival serves as the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between the two companies after engaging in community and consensus building workshop sessions with local artists since August of 2012.
Silver Spring Stage presents Red Herring by Michael Hollinger, directed and produced by Seth Ghitelman, an antic comedy of three love stories, a murder mystery, and a nuclear espionage plot set in 1952. Red Herring will perform weekends June 28 to July 27. Please note there will be no performances the holiday weekend of July 5-7.
For the Arden's 26th Season of great stories by great storytellers, the company presents a daring and ambitious musical, dramas that grapple with the complicated notion of the American family, provocative pieces by contemporary playwrights, and a new approach to a classic text. We are proud to produce the work of Jason Robert Brown, Lydia Diamond, and Alfred Uhry at the Arden for the first time, and are thrilled to welcome plays by Philadelphia writers Quiara Alegria Hudes and Michael Hollinger to our stages. The coming year also includes a new translation by Curt Columbus of Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters, and adaptations of Louis Sachar's Sideways Stories from Wayside School and Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat. Coming this fall, we will also open the Hamilton Family Arts Center, our new education and production center. We are thrilled by the prospect of creating our 2013/14 productions in this great new space.'

Frost/Nixon will perform weekends April 5 to April 27. Silver Spring Stage is excited to announce that Jim Reston, one of the team members that prepared David Frost for the historic Frost/Nixon interviews, will participate in a post-performance discussion on Sunday April 21.
Park Square Theatre announces a 2013-2014 Season composed entirely of area, regional and world premieres - opening with David Lindsay-Abaire's dark comedy Good People and closing with the first ever stage depiction of Nero Wolfe, the famously eccentric detective genius created by best-selling author Rex Stout. The talent bringing these stories to life includes bold-faced names and theatre favorites, including the Minnesota stage debut of James Denton of Desperate Housewives fame, the return of Emmy-nominee Linda Kelsey playing Mary Todd Lincoln and the Park Square directing debuts of Joe Chvala and Amy Rummenie.
