Roundabout Theatre Company presents a new Off-Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's Tony Award-winning Into the Woods. Directed by Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld, this production premiered in May 2013 at the McCarter Theatre in association with the Fiasco Theater. Into the Woods officially opened last night, January 22, 2015 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). Leigh Silverman to Helm WP Theater's World Premiere of BRIGHT HALF LIFE at New York City Center

Women's Project Theater, under the leadership of newly-appointed Producing Artistic Director Lisa McNulty, is pleased to present the World Premiere of BRIGHT HALF LIFE - a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Tanya Barfield and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman - in a five-week limited engagement at New York City Center Stage II (131 W. 55th Street) from Tuesday, February 17 to March 22, 2015. Opening night is set for Wednesday, February 25.

IF/THEN Cancels Performances 1/27-2/1

IF/THEN has just announced that it will have no performances January 27 - February 1 to accommodate Idina Menzel's rehearsal and travel schedule for her performance of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 1. Performances will resume on Tuesday, February 3. Ticket holders for performances January 27 - February 1 will be rescheduled into another performance. The musical will play its final performance on Sunday, March 22, following 29 previews and 401 performances.

IF/THEN, which was named the "Best Musical of the Year" by New York Magazine, will play its final Broadway performance on Sunday, March 22 at 3:00pm. According to The New York Times, the Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment has announced it will bring Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize winning musical to Havana next month. Directed by Andy Senor, Jr., who starred in RENT on Broadway, the show is slated to open on Christmas Eve at Bertolt Brecht Theater for an expected three month run.

According to an Equity casting notice, a new, still-untitled musical by Tony nominees Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will soon get a NYC developmental lab. The project, described as 'a new musical about connections, lost and found,' features a book by Steven Levenson, and will be directed by Michael Greif. The lab will take place March 9-26, 2015.
