Today, October 20, 2012, NYU will host a closed reading of the new comedy by Ian Mairs' THE LEARNING CURVE starring Michael Emerson (TV: Lost, Person of Interest), Jeff Binder (Broadway: Lieutenant of Inishmore, Lion King, Mary Poppins) and Mason Lee (Hangover 2), directed by Sean Daniels.

As the nation prepares for the second presidential debate this evening, CENTERSTAGE releases the fourth set of videos in its My America project, an online artistic initiative bringing together 50 of the country's leading playwrights to answer a single question: What is my America?

Amandine, ten years in the making, is a collaboration between three of New York City's most distinctive theater artists: Winter Miller, 13P founding member who penned In Darfur (The Public Theater), among other acclaimed plays; Lance Horne, Emmy Award-winning composer and pianist known for his own work and collaborations with Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Meow Meow, Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond; and Drama Desk Award- winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals), who specializes in new plays. Amandine is a singular love story, inspired by the incredible memoirs of Herculine Barbin, a 19th century intersex person who was raised a girl and died a man. The ensemble cast includes Broadway veterans Lea DeLaria, Nathan Lee Graham and Alexandra Silber, in a world premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) main stage January 8-26, 2013.

According to TVLine.com, True Blood and Broadway star Carrie Preston will return to CBS' The Good Wife season four as attorney Elsbeth Tascioni.

As part of the "Made in NY" Industry Series, the Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment and CBS will present CBS in NYC, an in-depth look at what it takes to make a television series on location in New York City. Acclaimed director Woody Allen has announced details for his upcoming film, which will include an all-star cast led by Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett, comedian Louis C.K. and actor Alec Baldwin.

The world premiere of the musical "Los Otros" officially opened last night, June 3 at Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. With book and lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh and music by Michael John LaChiusa, Los Otros' performances continue through July 1. Tony Award-winner Michele Pawk plays the role of Woman and Julio Monge plays the role of Man.
