Located in the heart of NYC, this palatial haven to talent Icons from Ella Fitzgerald to the most unknown up and comers, The Algonquin Hotel's history has housed more talent in NYC than any other structure still in existence. Beautifully woven together by Mr. Colby, The Algonquin Kid-The Musical combines both his personal journey as a child with original material by Mr. Colby in addition to a slew of musical favorites from the American Songbook. This weave helps tell the story of his life growing up in the glory days at this incredible Hotel. The Algonquin Hotel was owned by Mr. Colby's Grandparents, Ben & Mary Bodne from 1946-1987.

Premiere Stages to Present New Jersey Premiere of SOLDIER'S HEART, 7/10-27

Premiere Stages at Kean University, celebrating its ten-year anniversary, will present the New Jersey Premiere of Tammy Ryan's Soldier's Heart from July 10th through July 27th in the Zella Fry Theatre. Featuring Emmy award-winning actress and Premiere Stages fan favorite Kim Zimmer, this affecting new work tells the story of Casey, an American soldier who leaves her son behind to defend the country she loves. When the person she trusts most becomes her assailant, Casey returns home to face her greatest test, bringing back more than she bargained for. Soldier's Heart is the third play by Ms. Ryan that Premiere Stages has produced. Ryan's Dark Part of the Forest (2006) and the Primus Prize-winning Lost Boy Found in Whole Foods (2010) both premiered at Premiere Stages and were subsequently published.

Beautiful Soup Theater Announces 2014-2015 Season Featuring THE AUTUMN GARDEN, CHARLOTTE SWEET, GIGI and More

New York-based Beautiful Soup Theater, known for their revivals of Liliom, Rags, A Doll's Life and Moose Murders, has announced their 2014-2015 theatrical season. The season will begin in September with a revival of Lillian Hellman's The Autumn Garden. A study of the defeats, disappointments and diminished expectations of people reaching middle age, Hellman's rarely-seen memory play returns to New York in a new production from Beautiful Soup Artistic Director Steven Carl McCasland.

Tony Yazbeck, Ann Crumb & More Set for Industry Reading of DANGEROUS, 5/2

On Friday, May 2nd there will be a special industry presentation of the new musical DANGEROUS. Directed by Jeff Whiting, the show is described as "a 1930s swing-time musical reminiscent of Warner Brothers gangster movies, Hitchcock thrillers, and Casablanca style romance.

BROADWAY BOUND Opens La Mirada's 2013-14 Season Tonight

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts & McCoy Rigby Entertainment will present the first production in its 2013-1014 season of shows, the Tony Award-winning play, BROADWAY BOUND, written by Neil Simon and directed by Jeff Maynard. BROADWAY BOUND will preview tonight, September 20, 2013 (with a press opening on Saturday, September 21) and run through Sunday, October 13, 2013 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.
