Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice announces the 2022 Festival Season, August 5-7, 2022 at 8:30pm at Saint Ursula Place, Phoenicia, NY.

New York City Opera will present the annual Pride in the Park concert on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 7pm as part of Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America will continue on June 17 with New York City Opera’s annual celebration Pride in the Park. City Opera will also be joined by the LaGuardia High School Choir, directed by Jeanne Cascio.

A new recording of Saint-Saens's opera HENRY VIII, by Odyssey Opera, has come my way. It is a complete version of the work which is dated 1883. Odyssey Opera is a company dedicated to the performance of operas that are out of the mainstream but are deemed worthy of recognition. 

New York City Opera will present The Barber of Seville on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 7pm as part of Bryant Park's Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America. The one-night-only performance will be fully staged, costumed, and accompanied by live music.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America will officiall kick off its 2022 season on May 27 with New York City Opera’s staged and costumed production of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville.

Michael Chioldi will sing the title role in the next two performances of Verdi's Rigoletto, replacing Quinn Kelsey, who will return for the January 15 performance. Chioldi sang the role in the January 4 performance.

Experiential Orchestra and Chorus, led by Music Director James Blachly, will celebrate its 2021 Grammy win as well as being named a finalist for a 2021 Gramophone Classical Music Award for their recording of Dame Ethel Smyth's The Prison (Chandos Records) with a concert on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 8pm at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music (450 W. 37th St., NYC).
