A noticeably long, drawn-out silence opens Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of COMPANY as 35-year old Robert (Alxander Jon) comes home to his empty New York bachelor pad. It is the final moment of solitude before the coordinated cacophony of voices begins in Nick DeGruccio's sleekly directed revival of Stephen Sondheim (music & lyrics) and George Furth's (book) 1970 classic.

Eighteen actors and seven directors collaborate to present eight plays in one amazing night. The show titled, In the Darkness of Winter: A Medley of Thrilling Tales and Magical Memoirs features several intriguing one act plays by New York City playwright Michael Andrews, James Ferguson and Alex Broun. Dold. Directed by Joe Calarco, performances of Breaking the Code are from today, July 17 through August 2, with a press opening on Sunday, July 20 at 5pm. Broadwayworld was there for the opening.
