Since the inception of The Three Tenors on July 7, 1990 in Rome at the Baths of Caracalla on the eve of the FIFA World Cup Final, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras and the one and onlyLuciano Pavarotti; have opened the doors for other great voices, such as the Irish Tenors, The Canadian Tenors and many other talented and renowned performers. Easton's State Theatre has announced its 2012-13 season- on sale to State Theatre Members Wed, August 1 (Box Office window at 453 Northampton Street opens at 6 AM; Online Ticketing and Phone lines open at Noon). Tickets will go on sale to the Public August 15th at 10 AM. Limit 6 tickets per Member per performance during Members Only sales. Membership to the Non-Profit State Theatre starts at $75, lasts one year and is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

The new musical inspired by the careers of Depression-era outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow begins with stars Jeremy Jordan and Laura Osnes, as the infamous title duo, sitting dead from multiple bullet wounds in the front seat of a Ford. I resisted the temptation to give them entrance applause.

The Cabaret & Performance Conference, led by artistic director Michael Bush, will present five more nights of new work featuring world-class entertainers. The week begins Tuesday, August 9 at 8pm with Jim Dale, Tony-Winner and voice of the Harry Potter audio books in his one-man show Jim Dale: Still Carrying On. Wednesday is Lillias White: From Brooklyn to Broadway, a personal journey with one of the musical theater?s great ladies, which will perform August 10 at 8pm.

The Development Wing which has dedicated itself to nurturing new musicals via partnerships with regional not for profit theaters held an exclusive, intimate one-night-only benefit concert on Sunday July 24 featuring Broadway stars singing songs form three new musicals at the historic Tewksbury, New Jersey home of Cherie King. Composer, lyricist and book writer, Jonathan Brielle, Artistic Director of The Development Wing served as both master of ceremonies and performer as he authored the three musicals presented that evening.
