Shepperd in Association with Beard/Collins/Shores Productions, present a very special event, the West Coast premiere of Del Shores first new play since his critically acclaimed Yellow, SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF A PLAY, written and performed by Del Shores and directed by Emerson Collins.

Most people know Del Shores as the creator/writer/director of the play and film SORDID LIVES, which morphed into the TV series Sordid Lives: The Series. Del also has utilized his producing and writing talents on Showtime's Queer As Folk and ABC's Dharma & Greg, among others. Del has been touring his various stand-up acts since 2009. Del's latest theatrical opus SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF A PLAY finds the man himself onstage in his west coast premiere, beginning at the Celebration at the Lex on February 25, 2018.

CELEBRATION THEATRE presents as part of its New Works Reading Series, FOUR PLAY by Jake Brunger, directed by Brooke Seguin and performing one night only on Tuesday, February 20 at 7:30pm at The Coast Playhouse, 8325 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood.

Extended three times, and closing Sunday, January 28th, Skylight Theatre Company's 'Rotterdam' by Jon Brittain, has just received FIVE Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle award nominations for excellence in the categories of Production, Writing, Ensemble, and 2 nominations for Lead Performance.

Center Theatre Group has selected three local productions for the second annual Block Party: Celebrating Los Angeles Theatre at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Block Party 2018 will remount Celebration Theatre's production of Die, Mommie, Die!, Critical Mass Performance Group's production of Ameryka and Playwrights' Arena's production of Bloodletting. Each production will have a two-week run with 12 performances presented March 29 through May 20, 2018. The three visiting companies will receive the full support of Center Theatre Group and its staff in order to fund, stage and market each production.

Amid a breaking wave of transgender stories in popular culture (Transparent, Boy Meets Girl, and Orange is the New Black), Olivier Award winner Jon Brittain has created ROTTERDAM, a groundbreaking play, with deeply relatable characters that are flawed and often hilarious or heartbreaking as they struggle to be truthful about their identities.
