An American icon comes home.  During the early years of his career, American composer, conductor and arranger Henry Mancini and his family lived not far from where California State University, Northridge campus now stands.  On Saturday, October 13 at 8pm, Mancini's music comes home to Northridge as The Soraya presents Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini.  Starring Monica Mancini with special guest three-time Tony nominated Joshua Henry, Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini features Gregg Field as Music Director and Chris Walden conducting the New West Symphony.  

One of America's foremost comediennes, Lily Tomlin will play the Fred Kavli Theatre, Friday, October 12, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. The seven-time Emmy and Tony Award-winning American comedic legend will showcase over a dozen of her timeless characters from Ernestine to Edith Ann.

On May 20, The Camelot Theatre in Palm Springs previewed an incredible new documentary, 'The Show Goes On', about the life and career of Broadway, Film and Television Icon Kaye Ballard to a 'more than full house'. In fact, two theatres were opened for the screening since demand far exceeded the number of seats in the main house. With her typically self-deprecating humor, Ms. Ballard proclaims herself 'The Greatest Star You Hardly Knew', and the beautifully constructed 90 minute film details her extraordinary accomplishments from Broadway's 'Carnival', 'The Golden Apple', 'Molly' and 'Pirates Of Penzance' to her stellar nightclub, film and television career including 'The Doris Day Show' and the beloved and  iconic 'Mother's In Law' with Eve Arden. It highlights the extraordinary talents of Ms. Ballard and doesn't shy away from the disappointments and challenges along the way, featuring interviews with Woody Allen, Carol Channing, Hal Prince, Carol Burnett, Michael Feinstein, Joy Behar and more. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Robert F. Kennedy, getTV will air a historic episode of “The Merv Griffin Show” featuring the late Senator, on June 6 at 9:00PM ET/8C. The show originally aired October 3, 1967, six months before Kennedy officially declared himself a candidate for President in the 1968 election.

This month, getTV is commemorating Black History Month with a salute the 20thCentury's pioneers who triumphantly overcame societal barriers and paved the way for today's generation of artists and entertainers in the areas of drama, comedy and music.

World-renowned psychic medium Lisa Williams will present two mediumship demonstrations and teach a workshop for all aspiring mediums at the April 7 and 8 Victory of Light (VOL) Psychic Expo at the Sharonville Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The St. James and Helen Hayes Theatres might not be the only Broadway houses getting an update. According to Forbes, the Cort Theatre, currently home to M. Butterfly, might also get some renovations in the hopes that the theatre will be able to house larger productions.
