BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, presents The Very Hungry Caterpillar…, in conjunction with Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia, on Saturday, February 28 at 1:30PM. The Very Hungry Caterpillar… is part of BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center's 2014-2015 Family Theater Season, featuring plays, musicals, puppetry, concerts and dance for all ages.

English actor of the stage and screen, Barrie Ingham has died at age 82. Best known on the London stage for Herbie, opposite Angela Lansbury, he also appeared in Aspects of Love on Broadway, opposite Sarah Brightman.

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present 'Stella, Queen of the Snow,' based on the book by Marie-Louie Gay, the award-winning creator of 'Stella and Sam,' on Sunday, January 18, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Produced by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, the show is recommended for ages three to seven. Running time is approximately one hour. Tickets are $20.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 60th Anniversary Season of music, dance, theater, and family programming for 2014-15, reflecting the multicultural diversity of Brooklyn. The line-up features award-winning performances from Jamaica, Russia, Canada, South Africa, and China as well as the United States, including both Brooklyn premieres and returning favorites.

BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the longest operating performance venue in lower Manhattan, presents Peter Cincotti, performing tonight, October 25 at 8PM, the first of four major concerts in the 2014-2015 Main Event Series, which also includes the Spanish Harlem Orchestra (November 21 at 8PM, $45 - $35) and The Hit Men (December 13 at 8PM, $45 - $35). Also featured are Alexis P. Suter (January 9 at 8PM, $45 - $35), and Ruthie Foster (May 8 at 8PM, $45 - $35), among others.

Westport Country Playhouse invites the community to a Family Festivities Kick-off Party on Sunday, November 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. Free-of-charge and open to the public, the event will celebrate the Playhouse's upcoming 2014-15 Family Festivities Series, which begins on Sunday, November 16. Featuring brightly colored puppets and stunning black light visual effects, The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favorites blends together three popular children's books into a spectacular visual display that will delight the entire family.

The Park Theatre has announced the casting of Matthew Kelly and Simon Greenall in Snapdragon Productions' forthcoming production of Toast by Richard Bean. Snapdragon previously produced the successful Thark with Clive Francis and The Dead Wait.
