Jazz Musicians to Perform Christmas Favorites at Ware Center, 12/4

Harrisburg native jazz pianist Steve Rudolph will perform with exceptional veteran jazz musicians, vocalist Dred "Perky" Scott and bassist Hassan J.J. Shakur, in a program of jazz interpretations of Christmas favorites on December 4, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ware Center. Favorites will include "Let It Snow," Mel Torme's "Christmas Song," "Little Drummer Boy," "My Favorite Things," "Silent Night," and many more. All tickets include complimentary beverage service which begins at 7:00 PM with the concert beginning at 7:30 PM. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

Accomplished jazz clarinetist and tenorman, Frank Griffith travels from England to Lancaster to perform two unique concerts tonight, April 17 and Saturday, April 18. His performance on April 17 is promised to wrap up the Ware Center's season of the Jazz in the Sky performances on a high note. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at the Ware Center located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster. On Saturday, April 18 at 7:30 pm, Frank Griffith will join the 10th Annual Single Reed Symposium and finish the evening as a guest artist in the Jazz & Java concert on campus at Gordinier Hall located at 40 S. George Street, Millersville.

Duke Ellington Orchestra Coming to Van Wezel, 2/9

One of the most influential figures in jazz, if not all American music, Duke Ellington produced an astoundingly rich body of music. His band still tours to this day and will perform at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, February 9 at 8pm.
