The newly formed Center City Theatre Works is set to produce its debut work later this spring. The company is pleased to bring Philadelphia audiences Michael Cristofer's award-winning The Shadow Box. This heartfelt drama begins previews on May 4, opens May 5, and will close May 21. The company is mounting its first production on the stage Upstairs at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street. Budd Friedman and Mark Lonow's world-famous Improv Comedy Club at Harrah's Las Vegas showcases a different marquee of acts each week. Kivi Rogers takes the stage tomorrow through Sunday, with supporting acts Sam Fedele and Jonathan Bell. Improv shows are at 8:30pm and 10:30pm every Tuesday through Sunday. Austin Pendleton will direct the first Off-Broadway revival of WOMAN BEFORE A GLASS by Lanie Robertson. The original production opened at the Promenade Theatre in 2005 and earned actress Mercedes Ruehl an Obie award for her performance.
