With Kiss of the Spider Woman running at the Menier, the UK premiere of Jordi Galceran's The Gronholm Method in rehearsals, the critically acclaimed Travesties recently opened on Broadway and The Color Purple on tour in the US, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces the UK premiere of Gerard Alessandrini's Spamilton which opens at the theatre on 24 July, with previews from 12 July and runs until 8 September. The production renews Alessandrini's collaboration with the Menier following Forbidden Broadway which ran both at the theatre and in the West End.

The Menier Chocolate Factory is now in rehearsal for the UK premiere of Jordi Galceran's The Gronholm Method. Making his UK directorial debut, BT McNicholl directs Jonathan Cake (Frank), Greg McHugh (Carl), Laura Pitt-Pulford (Melanie) and John Gordon Sinclair (Rick). The production opens on 22 May, with previews from 10 May, and runs until 7 July.

Known across the world for her powerful voice and perfect pitch, Lea Salonga has been announced for the role of Grace Farrell in Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie, one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history, which will be this summer's annual staged musical at the Bowl.

Today (16 April 2018), rehearsals begin for the West End production of Nina Raine's Consent which will begin previews at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 18 May with its opening night on 29 May 2018. Directed by Roger Michell and originally co-produced and commissioned by Out of Joint, this strictly limited 12-week run is booking through to 11 August 2018 following the 2017 critically acclaimed sell-out run at the National Theatre. Bryony Lavery's critically acclaimed play Frozen, starring Suranne Jones (Save Me, Doctor Foster, Scott & Bailey), Nina Sosanya (W1A, Last Tango in Halifax) and Jason Watkins (Line of Duty, Taboo, W1A), will end its scheduled run at Theatre Royal Haymarket on Saturday 5 May 2018.

Rebel Theatrical Management, LLC (Harvey Butler, producer), in association with The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture, have announced, today, the cast and the creative team for the New York premiere of the new play Little Rock, written and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj. Performances are set to begin Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for a limited run through September 8, 2018 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is set for Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 7:00PM.
