The Laurie Beechman theatre was filled to capacity on Monday, November 4th for the Emerson College BFA Showcase featuring the BFA Acting and BFA Musical Theatre Class of 2013. Industry professionals hoping to find new cast members for their next projects and Emerson Alumni showed up to support and welcome the talented group to show business. Today, Oct 15th, contemporary musical theatre songwriters Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar will release a ' Double Sided Single' from their anticipated album #LOVE. 'Kinda Over You' which features Adrienne Warren (Orange is The New Black, Bring It On) will come as a free download with The Lyons & Pakchar single Let Go, which features Christine Dwyer, who toured as Elphaba in Wicked.

Paper Mill Playhouse hosted its Center Stage Celebration on Friday, May 13th at the Hilton Short Hills. The benefit honored eight time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken with the theater's prestigious Frank Carrington Excellence in the Arts Award. There to add to the entertainment of the evening and help honor the music man was Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Laura Benanti.
