In honor of the 10th anniversary of Bailiwick Repertory's Jeff Award-winning production of PARADE, Bailiwick Chicago will present a special one night only staged concert of the musical on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 7:30 pm at The Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport Ave. in Chicago. Original Director David Zak and Music Director Alan Bukowiecki (both Jeff Award winners) return once again to helm the Tony Award-winning drama by Pulitzer Prize winner Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy, The Last Night of Ballyhoo), with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown (The Last Five Years, The Bridges of Madison County, Songs for a New World) and co-conceived (and directed on Broadway) by Harold Prince. Matrix Theatre Company hosts the DDFF, which showcases films about the city and people of Detroit, giving filmmakers the opportunity to be the voice for our city's stories. The festival will run today, January 30 to February 2, 2014.

One night only return engagement! After a smash run in August of Melissa Young's infamous "Madonna show", she returns to Davenports one more time before retiring Lucky Star until Madonna's next milestone birthday. Young performs the music of America's most original artist, Madonna.

Bailiwick Chicago will ring in the holidays with a diverse line-up of December events. First up, Resident Playwright Aaron Holland asks 'What's holding you back from being as fabulous as you could be?' in a staged reading of the coming-of-age tale PRINCESS MARY DEMANDS YOUR ATTENTION, playing December 7 and December 8, 2013 at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater. Then, celebrate the season with a throwback to the decade of The Beatles and Hair at A SEASON OF CHANGE: HOLIDAYS IN THE SIXTIES, a cabaret-style collection of songs from - and inspired by - the sixties, playing December 12 and December 19, 2013 at Davenports Piano Bar and Cabaret.

The Chicago Cabaret Professionals will be pulling out all the stops as it proudly celebrates its fifteenth year of bringing live musical enjoyment by Chicago's favorite cabaret performers and fans on October 20 at Park West Theatre. The annual Gold Coast Award will be presented to popular entertainer Daryl Nitz and a special recognition award will be presented to Davenport's Cabaret and Piano Bar.
