The 5th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam will be held Friday, April 24 from 1-4pm at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park.

Shakespeare fans sign up to perform their fastest, spiciest and silliest Shakespeare in a 60 second relay at the Seelen Theatre downstairs at the Drama Book Shop on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Then, the shop will host a Q&A with acclaimed Shakespeare expert Ben Crystal. It's all in celebration of Shakespeare's Birthday!

New York Shakespeare Exchange (Ross Williams, Artistic Director) is thrilled the announce the 12 sonnets that will launch the year-long interactive SONNET PROJECT on May 20, with an invitation only launch event happening from 7 - 9 PM at The Museum of the Moving Image (36-01 35 Avenue in Astoria). Bernstein, Laurents and Sondheim, Shaffer and Chekhov headline Barrington Stage Company's 2007 summer MainStage season: West Side Story (June 13 - July 14), Black Comedy (July 19 - August 4) and Uncle Vanya (August 9 - 26) will be presented in the company's fully renovated theatre at 30 Union Street in Pittsfield.
