The Shakespeare Project of Chicago continues its 24th Theatrical Reading Season with free performances of Shakespeare's gory tragedy TITUS ANDRONICUS, running Jan. 11-17, 2019, at eight Chicago-area venues, including two new venues for this season in La Grange and Elmhurst.
For its first performance in 2019, First Folio Theatre (Mayslake Peabody Estate, 31st St. & Rt. 83.) is thrilled to present Joseph Zettelmaier's contemporary comedy heist ALL CHILDISH THINGS, previewing January 23-25, opening January 26 and running through February 24, 2019. "Witty, suspenseful, and wonderfully revealing about friendship," according to The Cincinnati Enquirer, ALL CHILDISH THINGS gives audiences the chance to laugh into the New Year, reminisce on their childhood and experience the carefree and clumsy antics of an easy-to-love cohort of friends.

Playwright Joseph Zettelmaier will join the cast and creative team for a post-show discussion Saturday, September 15. Zettelmaier's "Salvage" is an intriguing play that mixes drama with comedy, romance and mystery and is performing at Peninsula Players Theatre, Door County's theatrical icon though October 14. In this two-hander love story set during the First World War, the action is framed as a recurring dream and offers all the possibilities of a dream world: non-linear timelines, sudden shifts in setting, and the opportunity for characters to relive events not as they actually occurred, but in an idealized version.
