The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, announced the winners of its competition categories at the awards ceremony this evening, sponsored by Chloe Wine Collection, at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Top honors went to Diane for the Founders Award for Best U.S. Narrative Feature, Smuggling Hendrix for Best International Narrative Feature, and Island of the Hungry Ghosts for Best Documentary Feature. The Festival awarded $145,000 in cash prizes. Tribeca runs through April 29, 2018.
The Byrd Hoffman Water Mill Foundation celebrated its 23rd Annual Summer Benefit & Auction, a one-of-a-kind evening bringing together over 1,000 guests from the worlds of theater, art, performance, fashion, design, and society at The Watermill Center on Saturday, July 30. The event, entitled FADA: HOUSE OF MADNESS, featured new works by Watermill's International Summer Program participants that came from over 25 countries to create installations and performances throughout the eight and-a-half acre grounds. This year, The Watermill Center honored Madame Giancarla Berti.
UNRESTRICTED The Artadia 2016 Benefit Auction took place on Wednesday, June 1 at an enchanting studio in the East Village, NY. The evening featured a silent auction, tarot card readings by Meghan Boody, personalized haiku by The Haiku Guys & Gals, and bespoke balloon art by Brooklyn Balloon Company. Dishful Catering provided bountiful Mediterranean fare and Casa Dragones Tequila served up 'Unrestricted', the evening's signature cocktail. The night ended with an inspiring live auction hosted by Sotheby's auctioneer Gabriela Palmieri. Check out a first look at the event below!
