It's a special news satire show tackling the Beige-ing of Brooklyn. It's got the silliness of Anchorman with the bite of The Daily Show and the local flavor of NY1, with a few more Black people.

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company presents ONE FLEA SPARE, set to play Off-Broadway at the Sheen Center this fall. Tony Award nominee Concetta Tomei (The Clean House, Othello, 'Providence'), Remy Zaken(Spring Awakening), and Gordon Joseph Weiss (Fool for Love, Daphne's Dive) are set to star in this 20th year anniversary production, which marks the play's first appearance in New York City since its debut at The Public Theater in 1996. PLAYHOUSE CREATURES THEATRE has announced that it will present HUNTER GATHERERS, a black comedy about an annual dinner party that blurs the line between civilized and primal man, tonight, March 3 - March 28 at the Duo Theatre, 62 East 4th St. 2nd floor. Written by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb and directed by Eric Tucker (Wall Street Journal's 2014 Director of the year), The production will have its official opening on Saturday, March 7th at 8:00PM.

This year's theme was 'Love and Politics' and after receiving an impressive over 400 submissions in its open call for short plays this past summer, the company selected 7 ten minute plays to feature in this year's festival. The minimally staged festival will run one exclusive week during today, November 4th-9th and feature a company of twelve actors. The End Result is an exciting and entertaining week filled with diverse selections sure to entertain and bring these new writers into the spotlight!

CHARLOTTE THE DESTROYER to Make NY Premiere at FRIGID New York, 2/19-3/8

FRIGID New York will present a Playhouse Creature Theatre Company production of Charlotte the Destroyer, written by Megan O'Leary and directed by Janet Bobcean. The show will run Wednesday February 19 at 7:05pm, Friday February 21 at 8:40pm, Wednesday February 26 at 7:05pm, Monday March 3 at 5:30pm, and Saturday March 8 at 2:05pm. Performances will take place at The Kraine Theater at 85 E 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery in New York City.

Bridge Repertory Theater opens its first full season, in collaboration with Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company of NYC, with an ambitious production of Stephen Jeffreys' play about the life of 17th century poet John Wilmot. The complex story is overweight, but the acting is topnotch, as are the costumes and staging. Bridge Rep remains a theater company to watch.

Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company and Nazareth Housing are thrilled to announce the 3rd installment of 'Little Creatures Act Out' Theatre Camp. The camp is an opportunity for children of New York City's low-income and homeless families to hone their acting abilities and develop their social skills. 'We are committed to giving back to the community we produce in,' says PCTC's Artistic Director Joseph W. Rodriguez. 'It is a cornerstone of our mission. Being fortunate enough to be able to pursue our passion, we feel the least we can do is give back a little, raise awareness about a problem, and help to solve them.'
