The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the world premiere of Steve Martin's new play METEOR SHOWER, an adult comedy, marking his welcome return to the Globe following the great success of Bright Star.
The inaugural season of Broadway at The Performing Arts Center brings six of Broadway's leading ladies - and two of its leading men - to its new concert series on Martha's Vineyard this summer, produced by Mark Cortale. Debuting at the venue this month, Megan Hilty, breakout star of NBC TV's 'Smash' and Broadway's 'Wicked' and a Tony nominee for the recent Broadway production of 'Noises Off', will perform on Saturday, July 16 at 8:00 PM, joined by Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host. The hotly anticipated 2016 debut season will also include superstars Vanessa Williams on July 9, Kristin Chenoweth on August 14, Audra McDonald and Will Swenson on August 22, Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman on August 29, and Patti LuPone on September 2. Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of The Art House in Provincetown, MA, has sprung an early spring surprise announcement of his hotly anticipated summer season for the Cape Cod destination. Since taking the helm at the venue six years ago, The Art House has presented some of Broadway and Hollywood's most talented stars. The 2016 summer season will include artists like Kristin Chenoweth, Patti LuPone, Cheyenne Jackson, the Indigo Girls, Megan Hilty and Steve Grand. This summer, the venue's marquee Broadway concert series will again encompass performances at both The Art House as well as Provincetown's Town Hall.
