Netflix, the world's leading internet entertainment service, announced three new sci-fi series The I-Land, October Faction and Warrior Nun. These new series join Netflix's growing sci-fi slate which includes recent announcements The Order, Wu Assassins, Locke & Key, V Wars, and Another Life.

Artistic Director Dennis Garnhum has announced principal casting for the 2018/19 season including Seana McKenna as Penelope in MARGARET ATWOOD'S THE PENELOPIAD, Jan Alexandra Smith as Scrooge in this season's gender-flipping A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Nigel Shawn Williams as Troy Maxson and E.B. Smith as Jim Bono in AUGUST WILSON'S FENCES, and Alex Furber as Robert Ross in TIMOTHY FINDLEY'S THE WARS.    

Christmas is coming early this year! Lifetime sleighs the 2018 holiday season this year with the network's It's a Wonderful Lifetime lineup, featuring 14 all-new original movies and nine acquired films. Kicking off on November 21 with a special week featuring five nights of premieres, each week of the holiday season will feature new movies every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it was announced today by Tanya Lopez, EVP, Movies, Limited Series and Original Movie Acquisitions, Lifetime and LMN.

Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino will present this year's Legacy Award to Megan Follows, one of Canada's most beloved performers, who shot to fame around the world for her award-winning portrayal of Anne in the 1985 miniseries Anne of Green Gables and its sequel Anne of Avonlea. Cimolino and Follows played opposite each other as Romeo and Juliet in Stratford in 1992.

Garnering more than two dozen Gemini® nominations and the sole 2016 'Fan's Choice Award' at the Canadian Screen Awards for Yannick Bisson, MURDOCH MYSTERIES: Home for the Holidays makes its DVD/Blu-ray debut on September 18, 2018 from Acorn TV. Audience members at today's production of ROMEO AND JULIET at the Stratford Festival were in for a real treat...And some of them had no idea!  There was a delightful murmur of excitement from the crowd when Artistic Director (and 1992 Romeo) Antoni Cimolino came onstage to announce that in celebration of the Festival's 65th season, a group of former Romeos and Juliets were in attendance!
