I recently had the opportunity to ask McKenna Kerrigan a few questions on her teaching experience and career as well as some advice for young theatre professionals. Her responses remind us of the excitement we derive from the theatre and how all our experiences can teach us something.

Theatre Philadelphia, the non-profit organization that promotes and celebrates theatre across the Philadelphia region, has announced this year's nominees for the Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre. 

Lantern Theater Company kicks off its 2018/19 season with the regional premiere of Hapgood by Tom Stoppard. Longtime Lantern artistic collaborator Peter DeLaurier will direct a cast that includes McKenna Kerrigan as MI5 spymaster Elizabeth Hapgood, with Damon Bonetti, Kirk Wendell Brown, Trevor William Fayle, Christopher Patrick Mullen, Adam Phelan, David Pica, William Zielinski, and young actors Charles LaMonaca and Will Zielinski, who will share the role of Hapgood's son Joe. Theater critics and members of the press are invited to request tickets for opening night on Wednesday, September 12 at 7 p.m. by contacting Anne Shuff at ashuff@lanterntheater.org. Having opened to a host of positive reviews and strong ticket sales, Vineyard Theatre's world-premiere production of Will Eno's play MIDDLETOWN will extend its run an additional two weeks - through December 5 - it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, artistic director of The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St.).

The Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) will host a script-signing with playwright Will Eno - author of the new play MIDDLETOWN, which concludes its critically-acclaimed world-premiere engagement at the Vineyard on December 5 - at the theatre beginning at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 between the matinee and evening performances of the play, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, artistic director of the Vineyard.

Vineyard Theatre has announced a change in the production schedule for ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER. Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with the creative team, the full production of ON A CLEAR DAY... originally scheduled to open at The Vineyard in March 2011 has been postponed to the fall of 2011.
