Nancy Manocherian's the cell presents the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN

the cell, who scored a surprise hit with Bastard Jones last winter, invites you to the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), performances run September 23 - October 21 at the cell is located at 338 W 23rd St, between 8th & 9th Aves in Chelsea.)

Tony Award nominee Jennifer Simard made her debut at The Green Room 42 on September 9 at 7:00 PM. Celebrated for her featured Broadway roles in Hello, Dolly!, Disaster! and more, Simard premiered her show 'Stigma' that celebrates the crazy in all of us, with laughs, tears, and rock-n-roll, featuring songs by some of her favorite artists.

Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production will star Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role. Previews begin September 23 at the cell with opening slated for Thursday, October 4.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film have announced additional casting for the highly anticipated 34th Powerhouse Season in Poughkeepsie, NY, which is currently running through Sunday, July 29.

Desperate Measures is a hilarious new musical that tells the tale of Johnny Blood, a handsome young man whose life is in danger over a saloon brawl. Set in the early 1890's, Johnny must put his fate into the hands of a colorful cast of characters including a wily sheriff, an eccentric priest, a authoritarian governor, a saloon girl gone good, and a nun out of the habit- as they all struggle to decide Johnny's fate.  Laws are broken and hearts are won as they try to find justice in a world that often doesn't seem just. Desert Stages Theatre (DST) announces the lineup for the 2018-2019 season at their new location in Scottsdale Fashion Square.
