REPRISE 2.0 (led by Producing Artistic Director Marcia Seligson), in association with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT) chaired by Brian Kite, presents its inaugural production of Sweet Charity.  Directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall with musical direction by Gerald Sternbach, the classic Broadway hit plays through July 1 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer Maureen McGovern, who stormed the historic stage in celebration of the 45th Anniversary of her theme song, "The Morning After.' The song, which won the Oscar for Best Song of the Year in 1973, became an international Gold Record and garnered Ms. McGovern a Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist.

The California Desert Chorale presents AN AMERICAN SONGFEST March 18 and 25, an eclectic offering including music form the Broadway smash hit 'Hamilton'. I caught up with Artistic Director Tim Bruneau as he was prepearing for this very special concert to talk all things Chorale and more. Her are a few excerpts from that conversation:

Actors Co-0p Theatre Company (Ovation Award-Winner 2014 Best Intimate Theatre Musical for 110 in the Shade) presents the Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominated drama A Walk in the Woods written by award-winning playwright Lee Blessing, directed by Ken Sawyer, produced by Lauren Thompson. A Walk in the Woods will preview, Thursday, February 8 at 8:00 pm, and will open Friday, February 9 at 8:00 pm, and run through Sunday, March 18 at the Actors Co-op Crossley Theatre, 1760 N. Gower Street, 90028 (on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood) in Hollywood.
