The third annual 'NewNowNext Awards,' held at The Edison in Los Angeles, California, have been announced, PR Newswire reports. Niecy Nash and Cheyenne Jackson hosted the show, with appearances and performances by Paula Abdul, Mena Suvari, Kelly Osbourne, Peter Gallagher, Ryan McPartlin, Johnny Weir, Aisha Tyler, Kristin Cavallari, RuPaul, Snooki and Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Janice Dickinson, Perez Hilton, Alec Mapa, Candis Cayne, Lolene, Ross Mathews,Kylie Minogue, Jesus Luz, the drag queens of 'RuPal's Drag Race,' and Jessica and Hunter. The event celebrates new and emerging talent in pop culture.

On Monday, April 19, the stars came out to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of WET Productions, a non-profit dedicated to empowering women in the arts and media, at their Love Gala. Love was a one night only benefit performance of short plays on love, written by some of the hottest women writers in film, theater and TV and performed by celebrated actors. Casts include stage and screen actress Ally Sheedy; Ari Graynor, recently seen in NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLST; Maulik Pancholy, regular on the Showtime hit WEEDS and NBC's 30 ROCK; Katherine Waterston, who broke out in THE BABYSITTERS; Aya Cash, recently seen in Manhattan Theater Club's FROM UP HERE; and Eddie Kay Thomas, from the AMERICAN PIE movie series.
The final free performance of WET Productions INKubator Summer Series is set to take place Monday, June 29. The series will conclude with the reading of Swimming in March, a wildly imaginative, haunting adaptation of Buchner?s expressionist play, Woyzcek. It follows the story of Louis Woyzcek, a recently deployed soldier from the National Guard, who has just returned home from operation ?Enduring Freedom? in Afghanistan.
