Last night, the Sheridan Smith-starring revival of FUNNY GIRL opened at the Savoy Theatre in the West End. The transfer follows a sold-out run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, and the show is booking until October 8. BWW Review: LEGALLY BLONDE, Curve Theatre Leicester, April 14 2016

Legally Blonde the Musical has had an array of productions all over the world since its 2007 Broadway opening. Based on the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon, the story of love, faith and pushing past stereotypes has being capturing the hearts of theatregoers ever since. Famous for its outstanding quality of work, the Curve in Leicester is currently presenting a brand new version of the show, directed by Artistic Director Nikolai Foster.

Curve to Bring LEGALLY BLONDE to South Korea

Curve is delighted to announce its new production of the award-winning West End and Broadway smash hit musical comedy Legally Blonde, playing at the theatre until Saturday the 14th May, will embark upon a two week run at Deagu Opera House in South Korea. Working with Richard Darbourne Ltd as part of the Deagu International Music Festival, the musical, directed by Curve Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, will perform internationally from 25th June to Saturday 2nd July.

The West End transfer of Funny Girl, receives its first preview tomorrow night, 9 April 2016 - with opening night on 20 April, at the Savoy Theatre. Michael Mayer directs Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice, Darius Campbell as Nicky Arnstein, Marilyn Cutts as Mrs Brice, Maurice Lane as Mr Keeney, Valda Aviks as Mrs Meeker, Gay Soper as Mrs Strakosh, Natasha J Barnes as Emma/Mrs Nadler, Bruce Montague as Florenz Ziegfeld, and Joel Montague as Eddie Ryan.                

Emily Atack to Play 'Holly Golightly' in UK Tour of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, Beg. May 2

Emily Atack will now play the role of Holly Golightly in the UK Tour of Breakfast at Tiffany's from 2 May to 11 June 2016, appearing at His Majesty's Aberdeen, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Theatre Royal Bath, Glasgow Theatre Royal, King's Theatre Edinburgh and Wycombe Swan. She will be replacing Verity Rushworth, who has had to withdraw because she is expecting her first child. Emily will be sharing the role with Pixie Lott, whose dates, including the West End season, have been announced previously.

Due to unprecedented demand, the critically acclaimed production of Funny Girl, which is fast selling out its run, extends booking for a further 4 weeks until 8 October 2016. Tickets for the extension of Michael Mayer's "exhilarating embrace of a production - Independent" starring Olivier and BAFTA award-winning actress and "phenomenal talent - Independent" Sheridan Smith as Fanny Brice go on sale from 10am on 8 February.

FUNNY GIRL with Sheridan Smith Extends Through October at the Savoy

FUNNY GIRL, starring Sheridan Smith, is now running Menier Chocolate Factory through March 5 before transferring to the West End's Savoy Theatre from April 9. According to the Daily Mail, the smash hit production, marking the musical's 50th anniversary year and helmed by Michael Mayer, has just extended its run at the Savoy by four weeks through October 8, 2016.

CPT's Regional Premiere of MR. BURNS, A POST-ELECTRIC PLAY Begins 2/11

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce the regional premiere of Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play, the Off-Broadway sensation (2014 Drama League Award nominee) written by Anne Washburn, with score by Michael Friedman (Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson) and lyrics by Anne Washburn. CPT's production is directed by Matthew Wright, with Music Direction by Brad Wyner (Titus: A Grand and Gory Rock Musical) and Choreography by Holly Handman.

The full cast has been announced for the 2016 UK and Ireland Tour and the West End limited season of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, adapted by Richard Greenberg and directed by Nikolai Foster.

Kyle Riabko's CLOSE TO YOU: BACHARACH REIMAGINED, currently playing in the West End at the Criterion Theatre in an extended run through Valentine's Day 2016, is getting a cast album!
