Renowned dancer, choreographer and television personality Louie Spence will join award-winning comedian Jason Manford in the brand new UK Tour of The Producers.

Early Music Vancouver (EMV) returns with its highly anticipated presentation of Christmastime cantatas, this year featuring J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio - Cantatas 1, 3, 6 on Sunday, December 21, 2014, 3pm at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC. For more than 10 years, EMV has presented cantatas each December - showcasing some 35 exquisite works in that time. This season conductor, lutenist, and co-artistic director of the Boston Early Music Festival, Stephen Stubbs takes the reins and leads an accomplished group of soloists, a 28-piece Baroque orchestra, and the Early Music Vancouver Vocal Ensemble in three of the six cantatas from J.S. Bach's revered Christmas Oratorio.

The production previously held a lab in NYC in March of this year.

Opening at New Wimbledon Theatre on Tuesday 12 August 2014 the production will tour until Saturday 25 July 2015.

According to an Equity casting notice, Top Hat, which won Best New Musical at the 2013 Olivier Awards, will get a New York City developmental lab March 7-20. Tony-winner Christopher Gatelli is set to helm the project as director and choreographer.

Following on from Sunday in the Park with George, Little Shop of Horrors, La Cage aux Folles, A Little Night Music, Sweet Charity, Pippinand Merrily We Roll Along, the Menier Chocolate Factory is delighted to announce that its Christmas musical will be Candide with music by Leonard Bernstein, book adapted from Voltaire by Hugh Wheeler, lyrics by Richard Wilbur and additional lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, John Latouche, Lillian Hellman, Dorothy Park and Leonard Bernstein.

TOP HAT at the Aldwych Theatre, and will close today, October 26, to make room for Andrew Lloyd Webber's new STEPHEN WARD musical, which is set to open in November 2013. Thare are plans for a UK tour in 2014-15.

Jackie Clune is to play the Old Lady and James Dreyfus is to play Dr Pangloss in the Menier Chocolate Factory's upcoming production of Candide.
