Mr. Root, making his Off-Broadway debut, has assumed the role of White Dude, replacing original cast member Matthew Saldivar.

The 2009 Original Cast Recording of the critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway musical The Toxic Avenger, captured on disc by Time Life, is now available in stores and online as of today, Tuesday, May 5th. Although the disc was available for purchase at the theatre on opening night (March 18), its official release is marked today. The Toxic Avenger, based on the cult-film favorite by Lloyd Kaufman and Troma Studios, is fast-tracking the production of its highly anticipated cast recording to be available in time for the show's opening night in New York City (Monday, April 6th). Therefore, the cast took a break from rehearsal to hit the Avatar recording studios and laid down final tracks of the David Bryan/Joe DiPietro score.
