Jake Epstein, best known as the star of the hugely popular teen series "Degrassi: The Next Generation," will make his Broadway debut as the Peter Parker / Spider-Man Alternate in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark. Epstein will play Saturday and Sunday matinee performances beginning on December 8, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

We have talked a lot in rehearsal about the traditional perception of the traveling circus troupe - about the ways in which we romanticize that life. In a way everyone secretly wishes he or she could run away with the circus and perform some unimaginable feat few others would dare even attempt. We've talked about the transient nature of the circus - how suddenly it bursts into town thrilling audiences with colorful displays and inexplicable tricks, and then just like that, it is gone again. There is an element of mystery in all of that. You find yourself wondering, "Who are these people? What do they do when they are not flying through the air or jumping throughburning hoops? Do they eat? Do they sleep? Do they perform ordinary daily tasks just like the rest of us?" They become almost superhuman figures existing outside the constraints of regular life.
SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has just unveiled a 2013-2014 calendar featuring the talented, athletic men who bring the world's most recognizable super hero to life on Broadway each night with breath-taking aerial stunts and acrobatics. The 14-month calendar made its debut during a segment featuring Reeve Carney ("Peter Parker") and the performers on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning, November 15 at 8:30 am EST. Hello, all, I'm back with another blog about my experience with the American Repertory Theater's upcoming production of "Pippin!" Since my last post, we have nearly completed another two weeks of rehearsals. We have all been working very hard, and the show is really starting to come together.

Patrick Page played his final performance as 'The Green Goblin' in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark yesterday, August 5. Broadway star Robert Cuccioli, best known for his Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle winning and Tony-nominated performance as the star of Jekyll and Hyde, will take on the role in his long-anticipated return to Broadway. Cuccioli will play his first performance on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

Camp ACA is a one-week Broadway summer camp that features workshops with Broadway actors on musical theatre technique, improvisation, dance, vocal training, acting for the camera, and introductions to Shakespeare, stage combat and stage make-up. Col Emmett 'Lee' Wingfield III of the 621 CRW and his family attended SPIDER-Man Turn Off the Dark through the "Real Heroes" program, which provides specially priced tickets for America's Real Heroes and their families. Being on active duty for 18 years in the Air Force as an officer means they rarely get family time, and they made this special trip to NY for his son's 10th birthday.
