Sell a Door Theatre Company have officially announced their spring/summer UK Tour of Orwell's '1984' adapted by Matthew Dunster.

Matthew Dunster will direct Rodney Ackland's Before The Party at the Almeida Theatre from 21 March - 11 May 2013. Based on a short story by Somerset Maugham, Before The Party has designs by Anna Fleischle with lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound by Ian Dickinson. Dunster's production of Before The Party will be the first in over 25 years.

Building on the achievements of 2012, Shakespeare's Globe opens public booking for the 2013 theatre season today, 11 February. 'Season of Plenty' follows a watershed year at the Globe and offers theatre's brightest talents in a rich season of fifteen plays, including three world premieres, an expansion of the Globe's award-winning touring, and the return of three Globe to Globe productions from last year's once-in-a-lifetime festival.

Shakespeare's Globe has just announced a season of magic, enchantment and the fantastical lined up. The Tempest with Roger Allam returning to play Prospero, Colin Morgan as Ariel in his Globe debut and Jessie Buckley as Miranda. A Midsummer Night's Dream is always a joy, and Olivier Award winning Michelle Terry is coming back as Titania. Continuing with the supernatural, Eve Best will direct Macbeth, with Joseph Millson as the title role.

Following the huge successes of their collaboration on Tartuffe and The Hypochondriac, English Touring Theatre and Liverpool Playhouse complete a trilogy of Roger McGough adaptations of classic Molière comedies with The Misanthrope, which premieres on Tuesday 19th February before a national tour. The 'McGoughière' team will reunite McGough with Everyman and Playhouse Artistic Director Gemma Bodinetz, who will direct this co-production with ETT.

LoNyLa, a network, creative lab and producing organization that links artists globally, announced today that seven plays, two screenplays and one television pilot will be developed in VELOCITY LAB 2012. Director Jake Witlen will announce two more new plays in Berlin today, Sept. 28.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has today confirmed that they will launch their 2013 season with Harper Lee's American classic To Kill a Mockingbird, adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel.

Playing in repertory now through - 8 September 2012, Timothy Sheader directs RAGTIME, a contemporary musical based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow; Olivier Award nominated Javier De Frutos is choreographing. Matthew Dunster is directing Shakespeare's most magical of plays A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM from tonight, 2 June - 5 September 2012.

Jeremy Herrin directs the World Premiere of Matthew Dunster's Children's Children running at the Almeida now through 30 June 2012, with press night on 24 May. Designs are by Robert Innes Hopkins with lighting by Neil Austin and sound by Ian Dickinson. The cast comprises Emily Berrington (Effie), Beth Cordingly (Louisa), Darrell D'Silva (Michael), Trevor Fox (Gordon), John MacMillan (Castro) and Sally Rogers (Sally). Crow is a major new production inspired by Ted Hughes' poetic creation, from Handspring Puppet Company UK, the sister company to Handspring Puppet Company South Africa. Mervyn Millar will direct Matthew Dunster's adaptation with choreography from one of Britain's rising stars in dance, Ben Duke. This much anticipated world premiere will be presented as part of the Greenwich+Docklands International Festival at The Borough Hall at Greenwich Dance. Crow is co-commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London 2012 Festival.
