Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry to Present Spring Performance Series of Family-Friendly Puppet Productions Four Saturdays from February to May 2015 In the New Ballard Institute Theater Performances at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

RAPUNZARELLA WHITE Begins Today at 13th Street Repertory Theater

Following a successful run in The Midtown Children's Musical Theater Festival, RAPUNZARELLA WHITE will re-open at 13th Street Repertory Theater (50 West 13th St. between 5th & 6th Ave) beginning today, January 24th and will run Saturdays at 11am and 1pm through May 9th, 2015. Written by June Rachelson-Ospa (Triangle, currently at 13th St. Rep) and Daniel Neiden (Tempest-The Musical at Cherry Lane Theater). RAPUNZARELLA WHITE is directed by Neiden and is presented by Bozomoon Productions. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by visiting ?www.13thstreetrep.org or calling OvationTix at 212-352-3101.

Music Academy of the West Instrumentalists to Launch Global Academy Fellowship Program Next Month

Ten young instrumentalists from the Music Academy of the West are about to inaugurate the New York Philharmonic Global Academy Fellowship Program January 3-13, 2015, when they travel to New York City to train and play alongside New York Philharmonic musicians. All ten instrumentalists are from the prestigious Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, selected by audition to be the inaugural Zarin Mehta Fellows. At a time when there is more competition than ever to succeed in the music profession, these Fellows will be immersed in all aspects of an orchestral player's life, from audition to performance, learning invaluable career skills.

Segal Center to Mark 'PUPPETRY AND MATERIAL PERFORMANCE' Release with Screenings, Panel, 12/1

The Segal Center is pleased to celebrate the publication of The Routledge Companion to Puppetry and Material Performance (Routledge, 2014), edited by Dassia N. Posner, Claudia Orenstein, and John Bell, with a full day of curated screenings followed by excerpted performances and a panel discussion featuring John Bell (Director of the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut) and Claudia Orenstein (Associate Professor at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, CUNY). The event takes place on Monday, December 1, with screenings from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a 6:30 p.m. performance and conversation.

Skidmore College Department of Theater Presents PASSION PLAY 11/18-12/4

The Skidmore College Department of Theater is pleased to announce its Fall 2011 mainstage production, PASSION PLAY by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Carolyn Anderson. Performances are November 18-20 and December 1-4. All shows are in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater at 7:30pm except Sunday matinees at 2:00pm.
