Colorful Characters Abound in Stephen Mosher's Musical Cabaret THE STORY TELLER

Celebrity photographer Stephen Mosher's outrageous experiences come to life in story and song as he shares the adventures he and his colorful family have experienced in a raucous roller coaster ride, 'The Story Teller' playing four encore performances at Don't Tell Mama on April 19 and 22, and May 1 and 7 at 7:00 p.m.  From photographing the likes of Maggie Smith and Sarah Jessica Parker for his publication The Sweater Book to marrying the same man 8 times in the documentary film 'Married And Counting', Mosher's philosophy of devouring life takes center stage.

BWW Review: THE PRODUCERS at The Argyle Theatre

In the smash hit musical 'The Producers,' veteran producer Max Bialystock explains to his accountant/new producing partner Leo Bloom the step by step instructions of producing a Broadway show. He advised to find the worst play ever written, hire the worst actors in town, find the worst director in town, and finally open on Broadway. Luckily, the Argyle Theatre in Babylon Village did just the opposite. They chose one of the best musicals ever written by Mel Brooks as their season closer, gathered a troop of top notch professionals to perform it, and chose Broadway veteran Evan Pappas, the best in the business, to direct it.

Ucpac's Classic Film Series Continues With Three Films On 35mm Film

Union County Performing Arts Center's Classic Film Series continues with three classic films presented on 35mm film. All film screenings include free popcorn along with an organ pre-show on the theater's historic 'Biggest Little Wurlitzer' organ beginning at 7:15pm for 8:00pm shows and 4pm for the matinee.

ABC Renews THE CONNERS For a Second Season

The ABC Television Network has ordered a second season of freshman hit comedy “The Conners,” Karey Burke, president, ABC Entertainment, announced today. Ranking as television's No. 1 new comedy this season in Total Viewers (9.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.2/10), the self-starting ABC freshman led Tuesday's 8:00 p.m. half-hour in Adults 18-49 by 16% over its nearest competitor. During its first season, “The Conners” improved its time period by 33% in Total Viewers and by 22% in Adults 18-49, posting 5-year highs for ABC in the half-hour.

FRIDAY 5 (+1): Center for the Arts' THE PRODUCERS Opens Tonight in Murfreesboro

Mel Brooks' The Producers - the Broadway smash hit musical that cleaned up at the Tony Awards in 2001 - is presented by Murfreesboro's Center for the Arts starting tonight, March 22, and running through April 7. Directed by Chris McLaurin and Natalie Quinn (who last teamed up for the First Night Award-winning Pirates of Penzance at CFTA), the zany comedy features a cast led by John Frost Jr. and Tucker Young and Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom.

Sundance Institute's FilmTwo Initiative: Fostering Sustainability, Creativity in Storytelling

The fourth annual FilmTwo Initiative launches today in LA to support the career sustainability of thirteen artists developing their second features. FilmTwo encompasses two days of focused programming, including a writing workshop (led by Joan Tewkesbury), industry mentoring sessions, and one-on-one story meetings, kicking off a year of tailored creative and tactical support as part of the Institute's continuum of support for artists at key inflection points in their careers. The FilmTwo Initiative is supported by Universal Filmed Entertainment Group.

The Lambs Exhibit Short Films Not Seen In Nearly A Century

In the early 1930's, The Lambs created 2-reel comedy short films with Columbia Pictures. These shorts were created as a means to raise fund for the Club during the Great Depression. Most of these films have never been seen in almost a century. The films offer a rare historical look at The Lambs, its famous members and activities. The presentation included: Shave it with Music (1932), The Curse of the Broken Heart (1933), Poor Fish (1933) and Hear'em and Weep (1931).

Penguin Rep's Production AFTER By Michael McKeever Opens Off Broadway March 12
