A video by internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Björk will be shown every night in March as part of a synchronized program on over fifteen of the largest digital signs in Times Square. Björk's work, Mutual Core, will premiere just before midnight on March 1st and play throughout the month as part of the Midnight Moment, a presentation of the Times SquareAdvertising Coalition (TSAC) and Times Square Arts.

February 26 and 27 at The Music Room at SPCO Center in Saint Paul, the SPCO's Liquid Music series and Walker Art Center will present an evening of music by composer Sarah Kirkland Snider, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond, The Decemberists), and chamber ensemble yMusic. The elegantly woven program will showcase excerpts of Snider's Penelope surrounded by new chamber works from My Brightest Diamond and yMusic, whose recent albums topped critics' 'best of' lists nationwide.

"NYC 1993" looks at art made and exhibited in New York over the course of one year, providing a synchronic panorama in which established artists and emerging figures of the time are presented alongside the work of authors whose influence has since faded from the discussion. Centering on the year 1993, the exhibition is conceived as a time capsule, an experiment in collective memory that attempts to capture a specific moment at the intersection of art, pop culture, and politics. "NYC 1993: Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star" will be on view at the New Museum from February 13-May 26, 2013.
The Hugo Boss Prize 2012 has been awarded to Danh Vo, announced Richard Armstrong, Director, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, and Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, Chairman and CEO, HUGO BOSS AG. Vo is the ninth artist to receive the biennial honor that was established in 1996 to recognize significant achievement in contemporary art. The prize carries an award of $100,000 and is administered by the Guggenheim Foundation. An exhibition of Vo's work will be on view at the Guggenheim Museum in spring 2013.
Columbia University School of the Arts will hold its Celebration of Graduates at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in Miller Theatre on the Morningside Campus. Opening to the public May 5, 2012, the exhibition Helmut Lang: Sculptures will present a series of enigmatic recent works from the artist's ongoing explorations into the liminal realm between abstraction and figuration. Co-curated by Mark Fletcher and Neville Wakefield, the exhibition will go on view at 24 Washington Square North and include more than twenty new sculptures by the artist.

The New Frontier Story Lab has selected Question Bridge as part of the five project teams to attend. The lab will focus on supporting projects that have original stories and engage audiences in innovative ways, across multiple platforms. Organized as an immersive lab experience, activities will include individualized story sessions, conversations about key artistic, design and technology issues, and case study presentations. Drawing talent and expertise from all of Sundance Institute's creative programs, including Feature Film, Documentary Film, and the Sundance Film Festival, the Lab has been planned under the supervision of Michelle Satter, Director of the Sundance Institute Feature Film Program.

Fisher Landau Center for Art is pleased to announce 'LEGACY: Selections from Emily Fisher Landau's Gift to the Whitney Museum of American Art', on view through September 12th, 2011. Occupying all three floors at the Center, the exhibition highlights an overview of the historic pledge of artwork by Mrs. Landau, consisting of 419 pieces by 86 artists who have shaped the course of American Art. The installation is inspired by the Whitney Museum's recent 'Legacy' exhibition organized by Donna De Salvo and David Kiehl. The intimate setting of the Fisher Landau Center for Art allows for an expanded presentation of Mrs Landau's pledge, displaying more than 100 artworks by over 60 artists including:
