Manchester International Festival launches the programme for the 2015 event (today 2 - Sunday 19 July), which celebrates a decade of the world's only festival of original new work. In Jim Neu's musical 'The Floatones,' four rather strange characters meet at their encounter group and decide the best way to get better is through show business. They form a vocal quartet on the cutting edge of a new fusion between entertainment and self-help. Their night club act shares their group insights in speech and song, interweaving their individual stories, creating a post-Chorus Line. 'The Floatones' debuted in 1995 and will be revived by La MaMa E.T.C. on the play's 20th anniversary, today, May 1 to 10, 2015 co-directed by Catherine Galasso and Keith McDermott. It is the first production of a Jim Neu play since his death in 2010.

For this highly anticipated debut, CNDC, under the artistic direction of former Merce Cunningham dancer and prote?ge? The Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art (HVCCA) in Peekskill, New York served up a gorgeous valentine with the launch of a year of exhibitions and education exploring the artistic representation of love beginning with LOVE: The First of the 7 Virtues which appropriately opened on Valentine's Day to an enthusiastic response from the community and the scores of attendees from New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut. And even more appropriately, its antithesis Seven Deadly Sins: Lust will open on April 19, 2015. Developed as an FWMA (Fairfield Westchester Museum Alliance) collaboration, each museum will explore a different sin and, in some instances, its parallel virtue.
