Triple-Platinum Recording Artist Aaron Carter, who burst onto the pop music scene in the late nineties and quickly achieved worldwide superstardom and the adoration of millions of loyal fans, will join the cast of The Fantasticks, the world's longest-running musical, on Monday, November 7, 2011.
Due to high advance sales and several sold out performances, Ghostlight has extended at the New York Musical Theatre Festival.
Tony Award Nominee Michael Hayden (Carousel, Judgment at Nuremburg, 'Murder One') and Drama Desk Award winner Rachel York (Victor/Victoria, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) will star in the new musical Ghostlight, which will open on September 26th as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. According to press notes 'Ghostlight excavates the true story of Olive Thomas, a small-town girl who rises to headline alongside Fanny Brice in the Ziegfeld Follies. Seduced by the decadent world of the theatre, Olive stumbles into a secret affair, an unfulfilling Hollywood marriage, and a downward spiral into drugs and alcohol. An homage to Broadway's Golden Age, Ghostlight captures the glamorous and tragic lives of those who changed the face of the American musical forever.' Hayden will play legendary showman Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. with York as Billie Burke, his scorned wife, who was most famous for portraying Glinda in The Wizard of Oz.
Daisy Eagan, who is the youngest actress to ever win a Tony Award, will make her long awaited return to the New York stage in the new musical Ghostlight. Comedy Club (163 West 46th Street / Between 6th & 7th Avenues) every Thursday night at 11:00pm. Broadway Sessions is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, and features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke (The Addams Family) on piano. Broadway Sings for Pride: A Benefit Concert, is being produced by Neal B of NealB.tv and will benefit The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center. Attendees will enjoy the vast array of songs from Lady Gaga to The Beatles, along with a plethora of Broadway hits. Musical performances will feature cast members from The Book of Mormon, Wicked, Jersey Boys, Rent, Wonderland, Mamma Mia, Anything Goes and many more! Jim Lahti will serve as the evening's musical director and Carly Jibson (Broadway's Hairspray and Cry-Baby) will emcee. Musical accompaniment will be provided Jim Lahti on piano, Sean Harkness on acoustic & electric guitar and David Silliman on percussion. Kat Dudina and Mia Grottola, American Sign Language interpreters, will be signing for the hard of hearing and deaf community.

Charles West, whose credits include the Broadway productions of The Scarlet Pimpernel and Show Boat and who is currently understudying the role of El Gallo in The Fantasticks, will assume that role for twelve performances from June 18 through June 26, 2011.
